It really boils down to preferences on that. I've used it with no issues. And, it won't damage the pick up pin. You don't want braid though. Braid will eat through the pick up pin rather quickly. But I don't see any reason not to use fluorocarbon.

As someone who swears in 2018-2019 I can remember which I 100% believe I saw a ufo. And I took pictures, but because I was in the pilothouse of a boat the windshield made all of them show nothing but blur because of flash. I cant say I don’t believe that

Spacers bearing that goes on the shaft between the bottom gear and the spool small gear. Those are turning in opposite directions counteracting each other.

Yes and no. There's a felt pad that presses against the spool to hold it still until you press the little lever. I'm assuming yours doesn't hold the reel still anymore. If that's the case, you have to open it from the back and find that felt pad. You can scrape whatever is left of it off and try to replace it. But, I've never been successful getting one back together and it working after. There may be another way, but I don't know it.

i have a question. i found the hillman part at my local tractor supply and figured out the cutting part; the rubber piece location is simple, but what about the 3 rivets left that held the old plastic part that fell apart? did you remove these? the rubber piece sits directly where the rivets are on the spinner head. this was very helpful, thank you.

@@robertwittjr1198 I have 2 of those that shattered right by the drag knob. I'm not sure what causes that. Just something to be aware of when you're re assembling. I figure it was just the plastic made brittle with age.

@@secretspotswithjiggly9293 yes! this one was broken too; cracked from (if you are looking from button side in with cover off) left side of cover screw boss, downward through the hole where antireverse arm attaches and ends at top left corner where the rectangle slot is in the body where the drag screw device rides. i think this poor reel was wet and someone left it that way. there was no movement when trying to crank and the "grease" was almost solid. awesome cleaner and a soak fixed that problem. as for the crack, cleaned body with acetone, then rubbing alcohol then rinsed with hot water. canned air to remove moisture, jb weld to fix the crack. my guess how that happened was someone couldn't get the spool off and tried to pry if off and the body couldnt take the force of it. i am babbling on about this because without this vid and a few others, i would have just pitched this in the trash. this helps fix one of my problems, thanks for this info.

Thanks for the very informative video and what a coincidence.I have one of these exact models in brand new condition. It was purchased in 1958 or 1959. It has only been used 2 times and it became a special value of memorabilia. It has been kept it in a display cabinet for 65 yrs and it looks brand new. It looks really well made with quality materials. Cheers, Murray

My opinion. If you want me to be honest, Bret is a better wrestler than anyone else on this list. If we only look at technical prowess, he's number one. But, this list is based on my opinion and my opinion alone. I see you disagree with my opinion. Which is cool. I'd encourage you to do your own list. But, the Miz is on this list and so high because he is the one and only 2 time grand slam champion. No one else can claim that. He deserves infinite respect. And Superstar Billy Graham is on this list because without him and his influence, wrestling would like still be territories fighting territories. Greats like macho man, Hogan and flair would've never gotten the recognition they deserved. Which is why he's on here. Now, I may do more specific lists. Like a top 10 gimmick lists, which undertaker would be number 1. Or top ten technical wrestlers which Hart would be the top off. Or top ten Olympians who became pro wrestlers, which Kurt Angle obviously. The options are literally limitless.

It's tough. It really is. If you can get it to catch, you can rewind it. But you'll likely need a second person to help you get it back in the housing. I'm assuming that's what you mean, you took it apart and the coil sprung out. You'll keep the cool tight while the second person puts the coil back in the housing. I wish you luck. I'm obviously a horrible human being and don't deserve any joy in my life. And my adult kid needs taken away because I didn't know a bird would go for an artificial lure. How bout you call the FBI too since I'm not Richard Attenborough. I literally said, in the video that I had no idea what to do. But, you go on and call the game wardens on me too. Right, my mini me is the one who knew it wasn't poisonous bucause it had round eyes and egg shaped head. Super proud. Her cousin is the one who knew it was common water snake and flung it into the bushes. Both are more courageous than me. Snakes give me the heebies and the jeebies.

I have so so many Zebco. Dozens. My everyday reel is a Zebco Delta. It's a very well made modern reel. I'd say that is the favorite.
