I don't know who filmed it, but it wasnt John singing with Janet, but John and the backing singers, of which Kaney was one, which he only showed right at the end. For the rest one could only see the crowd in the distance. Disappointing.

Rob Bahlmer and I wrote It's Beginning To Rain on Thanksgiving of 1985. This was the start of a community revival in California, MO after it became public knowledge that Paul Hickman had brought a prostitute into the locker room as a reward for the high school football team winning games. You might be interested to know Paul Hickman did the same thing to reward defensive players in the NFL where he was a defense coach at Oakland (with the Raiders) and with New Orleans (with the Saints). It was much more upsetting than Paul Hickman started rewarding wins with prostitution at the high school level with 14- to 17-year-olds. The community wanted the healing and cleansing touch of God after that.

My dad graduated from JSBC in 1988.....the 1st graduating class. It is truly hard to describe what a special time and special place that the Jimmy Swaggart Ministry campus was. There will never ever be a greater assimilation of Pentecostal ministers and theologians. There is no telling the reach and influence Bro. Swaggart would have had if he had not had the fall. Heartbreaking every time I think about it! I think the fall of the Swaggart Ministry can be directly linked as the dividing point between old time Pentecostal preachingt/teaching and the rise of the "prosperity gospel". Yet another Heartbreaking fact!
