These skills are exactly why Detroit wanted him to get that title. Dunks, post ups, jumpers off the dribble, 3 pointers, fast breaks, basically giving up a Buffett on his feasts.🎉

A Hall of Fame career yet not in the Hall while lesser players are. He scored in every way, post-up, pull-up, 3 pointers, driving, layups, in every way. And he passed and ball-handled better than most can.

Think his reputation as a moody, temperamental star was unfair, though he might not be a HoFer due to his lack of longevity and poor defence. Do believe he was a better scorer (and player) than Dantley though, who is a HoFer.

And it's like he never even had a card made while playing for the grizzlies and he was playing some of his best basketball of his career I'm working on a grizzlies pastxand present card collection and no luck on a card of his with the grizzlies. Him and Stro was my favorite

League wrote him off after being a starter on those horrible post-Shaq Lakers teams that Kobe carried. Inconsistent but a damn solid offensive player so it's a shame all he's remembered for is that Lakers stint.
@nierlluc4705 Жыл бұрын
Such a great sampler for what he brings to the table. In San Antonio, he's like a lite version of Ginobili. Someone similarly underrated like him is John Starks. Not as polished as him but a lot grittier. Another one would be Anthony Mason who could clamp down just about anyone on the opposing team while being able to go coast to coast with the ball. He has such a unique skillset. Too bad, people seem to have forgotten about him. Hope you'd consider making a skill highlight of those two.
@currypiston Жыл бұрын
Love all of those guys. Ginobili one of the guys that made me fall in love with the sport. He's so special in so many ways, he might be the quickest/smartest decision maker I've ever seen. He saw everything in slow-mo. Starks and Mason not as smooth offensively but still unique and underrated, especially as defenders. Both of them were key to those deep mid-90s Knicks defences and made Ewing's life a lot easier. Mason in transition is def a unicorn though.

truly think we’re going to see a much improved DLo next season with Golbert. this vid really shows what he’s best at, which he was unable to showcase with our current team. KAT isn’t a natural dive big and despite being 7’0, ain’t really been a consistent lob threat so far in his career, he’s much more of a pick and pop guy. Vando is great at cutting to the basket, especially from the baseline, but we gotta be honest has bricks for hands sometimes. Golbert has a 7’9” wingspan, catches just about everything you throw toward the rim, and was the most efficient player in the league in the PnR last season. gonna be fun to watch 🐺
