Thank you for this wonderful Video. But, if you are Diabetic, you have to be careful about eating more than two Delicious Dates at a time. I’m Diabetic and I’ve been snacking on this wonderful fruit for a few years now, and I’ve noticed that one or two Dates, will not spike my blood sugar levels too much, but indeed it rises a little. It’s important to know the different types of Dates, too. There are so many. Some of them are huge. Up to 5cm. I buy (and love) the Medjoor Date. Also, I never have them before bed. They influence on my morning glucose levels. But, they are a healthy and a better Snack, (especially for Diabetics) indeed. Compared to any other unhealthy snack or Carbohydrates loaded fruits like a bananas.

In addition to the high fructose content (potentially dangerous to the liver), they are also high in oxalates (potentially dangerous to the kidneys), and should be eaten sparingly if at all. As for their claimed antioxidant power, the ORAC rating of medjools is 2387, higher than some, but only a fraction of several other fruits.
