Those fabulous boots would be 5 minute boots for me. I rate my shoes by how long I could stand in them. The older get, the shorter that time frame is.

I remember riding lessons when I was 13 and 14. Heaven. It's been 40 years, and I still remember the love of my life, a horse at the second place I took lessons from. The first place was western lessons, but the second place was English. And one of the horses there was a lovely Thoroughbred who didn't care how ugly and stupid I was. He always acted delighted to see me, calling me in to have a cuddle against his shoulder. He was the most popular horse there, and he wanted ME to give him cuddles. Forty years on. I am still chironsgirl.

I judge shoes by how many minutes I could stand in them. For me those are 5 minute shoes. Don’t know how Eddie can stand there for over an hour wearing them.
