@@dothemath3664 Hi, thanks for stopping by😊 This is still one of my fav oracle decks ever. So warm and beautiful and the messages are really loving and caring. I would do the comparison BUT I gave the other deck away to a family member that really appreciates it. I think the decks visually look similar but the messages behind them are different. The flower medicine is also more intuitive and gives WAY less information in the leaflet (there is no book that comes with it). This is also a reason I gave it away as I LOVE me a good guidebook, especially with the oracle cards. Which are the fav deck of yours that you had in mind?🌸

@Tarotismagic I love a meaty guidebook, too. I have and love the Soul flower. I use the messages for journaling. I was interested to see if there is much overlap in flowers. I got this deck by an "accident", wasn't looking for this one especially but it was a bargain so I thought I'll buy it and see what it is about. The more I used it the more I started to love it and I feel the same way as you do about the guide book. Every time I am reading it I am just OMG, OMG, how come this deck isn't more popular? The card descriptions are not the simplistic ones like in e g The seasons of the witch but not the very lengthy ones either, like Alana Fairchilds White Light oracle. I would've loved a small drawing about the exercises recommended after each card as sometimes I have hard to understand what they try to describe, but other than that, this deck is really growing on me.

Thank you, I have Oak Ash and Thorn and the Mystical Cats and havent used them once. This could just be due to having too many decks though! I've used that Mermaid tarot on one occasion...took it to a beach party and the readings felt awkward as I struggled to find the magic. That one can certainly leave my collection!

It's so fascinating to me that the Wildwood is also my ancestral deck! It has such a ancient vibe, so I suppose it shouldn't be surprising 😊 I had done the same thing with tracking down the more matte 2011 edition, mainly because shuffling the thicker, glossier cardstock actually hurt my fingers! I was so excited to find one from another TarotTuber's de-stash... I had to watch her video several times and zoomed in to make it was the one 😆 I love seeing the Ancestral Path tarot (I don't have it). Interesting to hear that you use her Ma'at deck along with Journey Into Egypt. Seems like a great way to balance the different Astrological approaches and use both decks! The Ma'at is so gorgeous, too! Ah, love Julie's artwork so much! 😊

The Wildwood has that celtic ancestral energy to it and as I have a huge part of my dna from the British Isles (one would never think that as I am from Southern Europe) it really connects me to my ancestral lineage. Thank you!! 🙏🏻. I find the major arcana in this deck to be the hardest to interpret, even though I know what they mean. I haven’t really connected it to these pictures except the hermit only because of the candle.
@Tarotismagic6 ай бұрын
Yes, I find Majors a bit trickier to interpret too. Maybe because they are not a part of a scene but instead they are mandalas - or mandala like settings so there is less "happening" on the picture. But at the same time it makes sense as they represent the soul journey that is not really in the context of us Interacting with the environment but rather our introspection.

Just started watching, but wanted to comment, I love this Strength card so much. The chariot in this deck was difficult for me when I pulled it the first time, because that tree in my culture is called "life tree" and is often planted in and associated with graveyards. So that challenged my imagination a bit to see in this specific card what I usually do associate the chariot with. However, they are not solely planted on graveyards, and I suddenly seem to notice them in places where I haven't noticed them before, mainly because they tend to be cut in a specific way, but now I recognize also the ones that are not cut or cut differently.
@Tarotismagic6 ай бұрын
Tarot journey goes in 7s (3 stages of the journey) and the chariot is the last card of the first stage - in that sense if you comnect it to being planted in the graveyards - death is some sort of transition to another stage too just like the chariot card, it takes into another world - if you believe in reincarnation or heaven/hell. 😊🌿

I did a whole video gushing on that deck 😂 I agree the Vision Quest guidebook is quite unique and I have also used it in tandem with the Margarete Petersen guidebook. @@Tarotismagic So, I haven't used the Marea yet! I am planning on using it this summer because overall, it vibes like that season to me. I adore the artwork and really dig the inclusivity. There is a softness to it, I think partly that has to do with the absence of all the actual symbols (planetary, Astro)... I really appreciate that about it. I love what you said about the emperor! Y you got me thinking about them... I might be busy pondering all day! the upper and lower lines consist of 12 pines each, 4x3, stability x growth (or order x expansion etc.) . The Hierophant card actually made me consume cacao products more mindfully and respectfully. I see the Hierophant (originally Pope) not always as a positive spiritual or teacher card (often I do though), but depending on the reading it gives me sometimes the dogmatism, missionary, colonialisation by excuse of religion vibes. So , combined with cacao, and seeing how nowadays still, cacao is mainly harvested in socially very precarious conditions, just to be sold relatively cheaply to our privileged country, so people like me can mindlessly kill a bar of chocolate a day and get our dopamine and caffeine levels up... so that card really made me rethink my cacao-related habits of buying and consuming.

While I apply my personal numerology and elemental associations to the minors Ace-10, for the court cards I read every deck individually, depending on the vibes of the imagery of the card, and while mainly Pages are Earth, Queens are Water, Knights and Kings switch elements depending on the image of that deck. Or often I do not read them elementally at all, apart from their suit, but more " stage of development " of that suit, or personalisations of situations also, and it simply isn't necessary to look for an additonal element then. Sometimes, I just read them both as fire and air, but in different aspects. Knight as the more impulsive aspect of both, with the worst case scenarios of tornado or bushfire, and Kings more master of the science, able to control his use the energies, and in the worst case scenario manipulative or with seeming outbursts that he has "predesigned" to create even more power for himself (his agenda/ plans/ designs=air, the drive/ aggression/ action to reach that goals etc = fire). Obviously both, Kings and Knights, can also be positive and there are many nuances between the best case and the worst case. I chose the worst case to explain this, only because it was easier to show how they can be both at the same time. I also add the suit element to this.
@Tarotismagic7 ай бұрын
This makes a lot of sense. To be honest I usually read them as author intended but if there is no specification, I will read them as I said in the video (this applies to RWS for me too though). For example in The Star Tarot the author specifically describes the Kings as fire in great detail and ofc I can't ignore her vision. But if the creators only describes their characteristics then I'd apply my preferences.😊
