As important as that may be being a contributing member of the Kingdom of Heaven is far more valuable.

Did you stop smoking cold turkey?
@Soberthoughts.podcastАй бұрын
Yes love . It was something I thought was going to be impossible. But oh what a mighty God we serve. He will remind you how sometimes we think our problems or addictions are bigger than him

@ I don’t think it’s bigger than Him. I originally started smoking after I got the army to help with pain and mental illness. That was about four years ago. Mental, emotionally, and spiritually I’m better because of His grace. However, physically pain is still an issue. So, I smoke to cope with pain. I’ve been talking to the Lord about it and I realized I had this fear of what’s going to replace what I use to cope with physical pain. The thought to stop has been coming up off and on for almost a year now but the physical pain is why I haven’t stopped. 😮💨

@ I also feel myself waiting for an answer from doctors. Because I feel like once I have an answer and treatment I won’t need to smoke anymore.

@@JasminesButterflyandCoaching Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your experience. It may not be that you believe your addiction is bigger than him but it is something you are relying on so in a sense you relying on a substance versus relying on God and even with your physical pain , you have the option to wait on a doctor or wait on the Lord.

@ that’s true too. I didn’t see it like that. It’s been something I’ve been going back and forth on for so long and I know I need to let it go.
