Careful there when you say He experienced guilt. He was our guilty offering. When we are toldd He became "sin" the reference has in view the sin offering which was referred to as sin.

Bs!!! See life through the word teaching of the Christ! Jesus said , " as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" what did you think that meant or was it just hot air Jesus was doing?? It means you are the creator of your life by what you think about..how you feel.. is why He didn't want youto hold grudges and said forgive 70 times 7 a day!! You my friend arent a follower of Jesus the Christ!!

Who in their right mind uses a book that hasn't been updated in 2000 years and is full of genocide, murder and slavery, as a way to look at the events of their life? For starters, can you get any more irrelevant to the topic? Secondly, what lens is this supposed to be? The genocidal maniac? The Xenophobes? The delusional narcissist? The plagiarist fanfic writers of the New Testament? Or the (probably) pedophilic homophobic sadist with a victim complex who can't get hard unless he hurts someone, who is standing on the podium spewing hateful shit and propaganda at you? Let me guess, it is the last claiming to speak for the genocidal villain protagonist of that Iron Age horror novel, right?

This issue is complex. You are talking about single huge decisions that we can make away from God's will. BUT the truth is we are everyday making many single small decisions in thought and behavior away from God's will. Why should we only focus on the "major ones"?.. Also, we just begin to get consciously aware of God's will after a certain age and maturity, what about all the bad decisions all through childhood and teenagehood that clearly were out of sync with God's will? Do we only begin being accountable for following God's will in adulthood? What of a person who gets born again at age 40? Or 50? Having already made major life decisions like marriage etc? What happens?

How do you know it's God, or my crazy consciousness??? I'm truly on a search. I ask with honest sincerity.

That's a great question, and since I don't know your specific circumstances, I'll share what's been most helpful for me. First and foremost I pay attention to what God is saying in scripture. If it's a New Testament command and it applies to a specific situation I'm in, I can be pretty confident it's from God (understanding I still have to be mindful of cultural circumstances and the bigger picture of the letters and writings). If it's a strong conviction to repent of sin or do something I know God would be pleased with and affirm, I trust that's from God. If it's a feeling or thought, I try to filter it through scripture, experience, and the wisdom of other people. Sometimes my feelings and thoughts are prompts from God and sometimes they are not. I don't experience the Holy Spirit directly speaking to me on a normal basis but I do know God's word and I have a brain and wise people around me, so I try to take advantage of that. And if it's a major life decision I try to proceed with more caution and council unless I'm very solid in my spirit it's God's will. But I think largely God loves us and gives us a wide path of freedom if we are seeking to obey the specific commands and direction He's already given us in God's word. And I always remember, God is certainly not limited in getting my attention, so if He really wants me to do something, I don't think He's trying to hide or make it mysterious. He's talked through a donkey and a burning bush. He has no limits on how to direct me. Finally, if I'm doing my best to be faithful to trust and obey God, I trust he is going to close a door if He genuinely does not want me to go that path. There might be some loss on my part and even confusion about what God's doing, but I have to remember I'm built for eternity and most things don't hinge on a single decision or path. God is sovereign and can guide through specific direction, circumstances, or a combination. I hope that's helpful! And sorry for the delay, I'm traveling a lot with church camps, etc. this summer!
