I saw on Matt Wlofe that he used a character reference which was kind of like --sref except it was --cref it keeps a specific character instead a specific scene.

Yes -cref is very powerful. I cover parameters in the second video in this series, so check that one out.

It seemed to be quite a fight for me and to be honest I don't think it lived up to the hype. The renders are ok. The movement is clunky like Pika and just a fair amount of issues. It also didn't seem like it responded well to my own story that I put in. Looking at this over all view of it apparently it does better with the storyline as long as you follow their story line but it is still super glitchy for my liking.

You are correct. They are trying to do a lot of things, and as with many of these tools, the hype is just that. I think it will improve as they work on it, but Leonardo AI and Runway are still best in motion imo.

Text prompts just feel so clunky to use. I feel like I'm sort of just shooting in a dimly lit room and hoping for the best. I much prefer to find an image with an aesthetic I like and tell the AI to generate an image based on the image I upload.

A lot of things with these tools do require many re-rolls and trial and error, but that’s also part of the fun and discovery element of AI. I also use reference images frequently and it is definitely a good practice to achieve better results.

10:54 grade A creepy. Also it's good that through such an ordeal they were both able to stay so well groomed, perfectly trimmed beard and mustaches. My god this is still so bad.
