This needs to be up voted more and have way more views than it has. This was a 10 second fix. I was about to buy a new garbage disposal.

Was getting a metal on metal tapping sound as my disposal was running. Verified nothing in the disposal. Ice trick didn’t work. Ran hot water for 5 minutes. Put dawn soap while it ran and it foamed up. No luck. Put ice again, no luck. Still running hot water. Put in more ice. Still clicking. Poured a couple cups of boiling water. No luck. More ice, nope. Boiled 8 quarts of water. Poured 8 quarts of boiling water while it was running. No luck. Put in more ice and ran it…. Then this little piece of plastic 1 inch long by 2 mm wide popped out of the hole. Clicking sound IS GONE! Persistence wins again!

I'd put so much ice in ours without resolving the vibration. A lot of spray lube and pushing the stuck hammer around with pliers (tip: pry towards / away from the center) for a while finally got it moving again and stopped the vibration.

My garbage disposal was making a very loud grinding noise. I added the ice and it cleared it immediately and worked like a charm! Thank you so so much!

Great idea with the gutter flashing! Thanks for the video(s). I actually watched part 2 first and then came looking for part 1 to see what you used. I need to help a neighbor replace a picket on his fence and this should be a big help. I’m not sure yet on brand/type of specific fence but I’m hopeful one of the pickets I already have will work. Thanks again!

It seemed to work for a bit then the noise came back and I ran out of ice. Should I just keep adding more and more ice until it goes away for good?

I used a couple of letter openers--you will need one per tab. slide them in over the tab(s) and leave them in place. They will depress the tab/squeeze the rail just enough to pull it out.

I cannot thank you enough for posting this video! We have a 15-year-old vinyl fence and unfortunately our neighbor accidentally blew a hole threw one of the pickets. The company that originally installed the fence no longer sold our line of fencing, in fact, no one in our state sold our fence anymore 😢 No one was willing to come help repair it, but thanks to your video we were able to order replacement pieces and do it ourselves! We had tried everything to push the prongs in and nothing worked (and because of the age of the fence, I was worried we'd break or crack other pieces in the process). Your flashing suggestion worked like a charm though! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Thank you for watching. Short 'Yes' but the color is a match..... Keep in mind this is a brand new picket setting against a picket that has been in place for several years. after the new picket had beenin place for a while it blended right in with the others....

Waste King started to "rumble" after a family dinner (lots of grinding done). Checked the hammers as Kevin suggests, and one was stuck. Dumped in some ice, and sure enough hammer freed up. Saved me $100 and a few hours work. Thanks!

The arial view down the top of the post shows the two top rails butted together. Then he removes the screw. Then he slides that rail almost 2" to the left. That cannot be done because the post the rail slides into does not have 2" of space. It has two top rails butted against each other. (That is my fence problem. I think I am going to have to rock the post back and forth until I can get the rail in. Then secure with a screw. Then reinforce the post into the ground.)

Thanks for watching... This season started with little snow but mother nature seems to be making up for that now. Another storm is forecasted to bring an additional 9 inches so by Sunday we should have about 14 inches on the ground....

Thank you for watching... This timelapse was shot in central Iowa. This was the big storm that moved across the midwest on Tuesday. We don't get storms with this much snowfall often.
