I see your point here. There are always two (or more) ways to handle things. Wes decided to make him learn the hard way. I can see why he did, but at the same time I agree that if someone is new to the service, or racing in general, there is an opportunity to teach them.

Only so much patience after a few laps of that. Wouldnt have happened if i didnt have a chance to chase the leader down. Plus this isnt Forza or another "arcade" racer, u should know to not hold someone up, i do it all the time when someone is faster than me. Speed difference is common sense and so is awareness. If i did that to a faster car, i would have got sent way earlier than what he did and trust me on this, he will learn harder lessons from others. It is a sim

It's attitudes like this that have ruined iRacing. It used to be a really fun and good place to race, but now we have people like you driving like this and showing these new people this is how we race, and not actually taking time out of your day to show them how to be a good lapped down car. He doesn't have to move for you, he has every right to run his race. Thanks to contributing to the downfall of iRacing officials. It used to be a lot better.

@@HeyStack199 there are modes called practice, test, and UNOFFICIAL races that prepare people for official races where new racers can learn racing etiquette. And yes that is a thing. So when you get into an official race, you are saying that you are ready. And for iracing being ruined, I have no idea what your talking about there. If that's the case then it's because of people who don't understand racing, race craft, when to let the leaders by because u r too slow so they don't affect the outcome. If u are saying that the guy was only a week in, then he needs to practice first and foremost, get up to speed some, get some awareness so when the car behind you is obviously faster, to not take his racing line away because because "you have every right to run your line bs". Then be prepared to be moved because this isn't lolly gag, and oh I'll give him 10 laps so he can learn. No it's go time. I gave him a few laps and he kept cutting my nose off. That's called no spacial awareness, in which you can learn in practice. Don't try and learn things of that nature in races. When I started, I ran practice and unofficial until I UNDERSTOOD what to do because I didn't want to be slow and ruin people running to win. If he wasn't a lap down car, then he could have ran his line and I would've race him clean. But no, he was a lap down slow, holding me up, that's what happens in any racing whether it's real life or not. Like I said before, this isn't something that you see kids on, so pull your britches up, man up, and take your lessons, just......like .....I......did

Take all of that energy, and give it to the new people, who "ruined your entire life" so much so you had to upload a video and title it after them. Instead of just dumping them after 2 laps, take that time to teach them what they did wrong after the race. And the decline of officials has been happening for a while. People are far too competitive now and don't want to help anyone out anymore. When I started in early 2013, people shared setups, gave tips in races, and even gave advice on things that happened on track. I rarely do officials these days due to the "I'm going to the Coke series" attitude everyone has now, and you are one of those drivers.

@@wesknipp dang man wish I would have seen ya jump into the practice! Sometimes I’ll practice and just see how well I do on the track and then determine if I should race or not lol

@@jasonputman4562 That's a good thing. Some guys jump into races and can't handle the car/truck and then end up wrecking the field.

@@eliteangler yeah there’s a lot of people that just jump in and go race and usually ends up badly for others.. I ease my way into it when I know I’m comfortable enough to race.. heck when I first started playing iracing I ran the AI racing for prolly 4 months before I even attempted an online race.. I’m definitely that person that doesn’t wanna ruin anyone else’s race :)

@@jasonputman4562 Yep... I did the same thing. I haven't raced in a long while... been spotting for Wes, but when I get ready to start racing again I will be practicing a lot before even getting in an actual race.
