Roy Dotrice was such a great actor! His character here is pretty cool! An angel who guards the ark of the covenant!

Today, on the occasion of Mr. Roy Dotrice's birth centenary, I pay my humble tributes & respect to such a talented, versatile actor. I did no nothing about him or new his name beforehand. I saw him for the first time in a movie " Amadeus", performing a role of Maestro Leopold Mozart, father of Wolfgang. After watching movie 2-3 times, I understood the calibre of this great actor. His method of speaking dialogs in Amedeus, his agony on his face while speaking with his daughter in law Constanze at the time of visit of a servent from an anonymous benefactor for the invitation for the composition of Requiem mass, his meeting with Mozart on the staircase at the time of Don Giovanni, taking Wolfgang close to his heart are few of the unforgettable scenes. Unfortunately, though I have read Aubrey's Great Lives ', I have not yet got an opportunity to view its solo performance by Mr.Dotrice. I pay my respectful tribute to him & all the best & my regards to all 3 talented daughters who are also great actresses in their own way. They would be very proud for such a great father. Thanks Aditya

This villain is truly underrated. Much better written than some evil witch or King, he’s quite a gem in his own right and deserves more ranking in classical villains imho.

Reminds me of who framed Roger rabbit where Eddie is trying to get him to drink a drink to save him, but he doesn't want the drink. Eventually their back and forth goes from Eddie saying that Roger wants the drink and Roger saying he doesn't to Eddie saying Roger doesn't and Roger finally saying "listen, when I say I do, that means I do".

In case anyone didn't notice, they are using the same set they used in Spin City, when they had scenes at the bar. How come I never heard of this show? Gabriel Byrne in a sitcom?! HECK yeah!

Funfunfun. Anyway, I decided to go back in my time machine to right after Mozarts death. I will bring my notepad and recorder and interview every single person who was involved with Mozart. Trust me; I shall bring back the truth, and it will shock you to your core.

"But my penalty. I'VE GOT TO HAVE A PENALTY!" While Mozart's dad is a somewhat Stern and grumpy stick in the mud. We also have got to admit that his son Wolfgang is a bit of an overgrown-baby as well.
