Since you're using undiluted acrylic paint on denim I guarantee you that the patch will dry stiff so you don't need to put any felt underneath it

Personally I don't have felt so instead opted to just add a second layer of denim!

I like embroidery but it takes waaaaaaay too long... I never considered paints to make faster patches!

I’ve tested it out with cotton before but it was a little bit on the flimsier side, I just found denim to be the most sturdy. But if you do try it with other fabrics let me know how it turns out and tag me on insta !!! I want to see :p

Does the paint or hot glue melt off in the dryer??

So I usually remove my pins and wash the jacket separately!!! Then spot clean the patches. If you want to wash the patches I recommend, making a test one then washing it and putting in the dryer!
