The riff around the 5 minute mark is one of opeths's finest, fucking spine chilling and yet so low in the mix!
This dude along with David Vincent are my two absolute kings. Followed closely by LG Petrov. Absolutely unmatched growls. Fucking amazing work my dude, its been so long since you uploaded it, but thank you so much for this. I truly appreciate it.

It's weird to me how it sounds more overdriven in the mix than it does isolated.
@emusic36000 Жыл бұрын
Because it mixes with the effects of the guitar and even some keyboards I hear at the very back.
@funkypunk1001 Жыл бұрын
It's really overdriven. If you listen to it with headphones you can hear it's very overdriven but the bass frequencies are boosted very heavily to fit into the mix.

You're a falling star, you're the get away car You're the line in the sand when I go too far You're the swimming pool, on an August day And you're the perfect thing to say And you play it coy, but it's kinda cute Oh, when you smile at me you know exactly what you do Baby don't pretend, that you don't know it's true 'Cause you can see it when I look at you And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times It's you, it's you, you make me sing You're every line, you're every word, you're everything You're a carousel, you're a wishing well And you light me up, when you ring my bell You're a mystery, you're from outer space You're every minute of my everyday And I can't believe, uh that I'm your man And I get to kiss you baby just because I can Whatever comes our way, oh we'll see it through And you know that's what our love can do And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times It's you, it's you, you make me sing You're every line, you're every word, you're everything So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times It's you, it's you, you make me sing You're every line, you're every word, you're everything You're every song, and I sing along 'Cause you're my everything Yeah, yeah So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

I didn't think those are the correct lyrics... "Was losing all my friends, was losing them to drinking and to driving. Was losing all my friends but I got em back" " before you put my body in the cold ground, take some time and warm it with your hands. Time to get these seeds into the cold ground, takes awhile to grow anything before it's coming to an end

useless was your comment. the keyboard is extremely useful live and in the studio. Because with it there is no need to record 5 guitar tracks of the same riffs, the keyboard fills the band a lot.

so is this double tracked or quad tracked? to me it sounds doubled but if anyone knows for sure please let me know
@colinclark19812 жыл бұрын
Well I know they quad tracked bwp and watershed. Wouldn't surprise me if this is quad too. Usually they just layer a bunch of low distortion guitar tracks so it seems like it has more gain while keeping the clairity.
