I bought one of these and the throat plate is in crooked!!!! The side and back are fine, but the front edge where you sew, it's crooked. How could this have even passed inspection

I always starch my 10” precuts and trim them down to 9 1/2” since they are never cut evenly. I don’t buy pre cuts because I don’t like to cut. I buy them because I love the variety of prints within a line.
@nebraskaquiltcompany
@nebraskaquiltcompany 3 ай бұрын
That is absolutely valid! Since you already trim them anyway, there's no reason not to starch! Starch away, my friend! 💕

When threading, make sure you hook up into the first tension slot, pull forward and into the tension disks. The presser foot should be up during tgis portion of the process to ensure you are in the tension disks. Let's us know if you need more help!

You need to tell people to wind the bobbin at at least half speed. They are telling folks the center of the bobbin can get tweeted, but you may not notice, and that can hurt the machine, so remind to NOT wind at full speed.
@nebraskaquiltcompany
@nebraskaquiltcompany Жыл бұрын
The bobbin winder should work as expected on domestic machines. If you are having issues, we are happy to look at it or we would recommend seeing your local dealer.

@@nebraskaquiltcompany I’m not having any issues, but heard this right from one of the ladies that demonstrated the Creative Icon and I’m sure this would go for the #2 also, wind bobbins at half speed because plastic bobbins can get tweaked at high speed and you may not realize it. I’m just passing on information that I saw. No need for repairs if a person just uses their head. Plastic objects need to be treated with a little care, different from metal, if they’re going to last.

@@florence775 As an authorized dealer of Pfaff products, the bobbin winders are set for the bobbins made by Pfaff. The speed is set according to factory specs and should work as is out of the box. If you are having a need to slow it down, do what works for you. On average, we not seeing any issues winding bobbins as designed.

Thanks for this video. I just bought a Bernina L 890 serger in a promo sale combo with a Laurastar so it's been a help to watch this video as I haven't yet removed the Laurastar from its box. TWO QUESTIONS: Is it necessary to use an ironing board with air with the Laurastar? If so, what is the brand/model of the ironing board? THANKS!
@nebraskaquiltcompany
@nebraskaquiltcompany Жыл бұрын
You can use the iron without the board containing a fan. The model here is the 1980 Smart-U and it is amazing with the fans that blow up pushing air or blow down pulling the air through your fabrics. They do make a normal non-fan ironing board. contact us at nebraskaquiltcompany.com and we can help you through it.
