The only complaint I have with THE FIGHTER is how it portrays this fight. It was a much better fight than the movie shows. It makes it look like Ward was getting beat down the whole fight until the end, which clearly is not the case.

Fighting micky ward is basically win on points and don't let him land the bodyshot to the liver.all night, you will have to work on hitting and moving. He's a nightmare if you are not in shape, and I dont care how much talent you have.

I know many fighters under estimated Mickeys body shot power but those hard short hooks to the body could move houses

I remember Mickey was almost stagnant prior to this thunder run through the ranks he made late in his career and this led to a beautiful trilogy with Thunder Arturo Gatti which I miss very much fights don't have the same energy as these masterpieces from the 1980s and 1990s into the early 2000's like Fernando Vargas and de lahoya and Tito Trinidad they just ain't the same as these old fights idk I think the fighters just don't have the Charisma as they used to
