Challenges - getting local tradesmen to do the work thst you want done. Bigger challenges: getting "permission" from the socialist government delegates (local authorities) to do what you want to do. These commies in councils are anti-delvelopment, anti-private ownership, anti-profit, unfortunately. Best of luck with the project.

Beautiful location. Just looking on google maps and I cant believe how overgrown the back garden was. Fabulous project you got there.

What a lovely spot. You can turn the property into something fabulous. You’ll also spend 2025 working 24/7 🤣

For 'potential' read 'bottomless pit to throw your money into'! I'm going to suggest that whatever you budget for the work, at least double it.

I know the exact village and house, used to stay across the water until October 2023! Great little place and the cruise ships in the summer months are always a sight to behold!

I am glad you are keeping the art deco fireplaces - lovely, and there are tiny stoves around, often used on boats. Welcome. You've picked a nice spot to put down roots.

Looks desolate to me. Lots of grey, featureless vistas with two years of expensive work. I wish you all the best but that is no place to bring kids up.

The key is be very organised. I lived in the Highlands doing up a property. It was a 80 mile round trip to the town to get supplied and some firms don't deliver or charge exorbitant prices to deliver. Good luck.
