Incredibly sad that this cinema will close forever in a few weeks time (July 2024) after such a huge effort was made for this fantastic refurbishment. It was still a very popular venue in 2019 but post-Covid it sounds like the audiences never quite returned here in the numbers hoped.

This film touches the SOUL pun intended. No matter what your going through, no matter how tuff the situation; if you watch Queen & Slim you'll think whoa my storm ain't that bad. These two were in a situation where there was no way out. And unless you've robbed a bank, or unalived someone, if you wreck your car, or lose your job you think "I got knocked down, but I can get up from this". Though it's fiction it'll still make you 😭 cry.
