The A is an add9, as you're adding the B and E (the 9th and the 5th). The C is a maj7 chord (B being the maj7 and E being the 3rd) and the third chord is a G6 (the B is the 3rd and the E is the 6th)

Thank you for clearing that up - much appreciated! Yes, I remember a student was asking about this song last summer and I listened to the song a few times and put the tutorial up (perhaps a little too hastily!) for him. Great lesson. I play Robins part in a UB40 tribute. I go back to the E for the last double skank after D. I also dont fully press the strings down and do a rapid 5 stoke on that last E. Thank you for your kind feedback and valued insight into the performance aspect of this song. I am very impressed that you sing and play lead in the band! @britrockguitar 2 ай бұрын
Yes, you're right - this is very much an entry-level multi-effects pedal aimed at new and intermediate guitarists. If the sounds are not bright enough, it is well worth exploring the software to hone your preferred sound. Also, don't underestimate your guitar's pick-up settings when seeking that brighter tone. Above all else, have fun whilst experimenting! 😜😁🎸
@stanthebluesman9650
@stanthebluesman9650 2 ай бұрын
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "is not able to produce bright sound." I've got the same unit. The unit has tweakability by EQ and volume for each patch, as well as global EQ and volume. Your amp also has the ability to alter the sonic qualities of what it produces from your guitar. Just play with the dials. I have no issues with brightness or dullness. You shouldn't either.

I hope this doesn’t sound demanding in any way as I think of you as the expert! But I’m a beginner and I’m playing this on an acoustic guitar - I’ve got the grasp of the 1st bit, but you know the chords like ‘D’ and ‘F#’ and the others - where would I place my fingers? Only because I’m having trouble matching mine to the video
@britrockguitar
@britrockguitar 3 ай бұрын
Firstly, thank you very much for your very kind feedback - I've never been considered an expert by anyone before! 😅 Regarding the chords, play open D chord but bring your thumb over the fifth and sixth strings to dampen them as you strum. For the F#, I would always urge new guitarists to barre your first finger across strings one, two and three at the second fret, and then place your second finger on the third string at the third fret. This is the least punishing fingering for new guitarists and this moveable shape is very handy. If you then remove your second finger, the chord becomes an F#m. With just those two simple shapes on any of the twelve frets, you will be able to play 90% of rock and pop songs. Thank you again for your support and just let me know if there are any songs that you would like me to cover in the future. Above all else, though, keep at the guitar and enjoy all of the degrees of progress that you make. 🙏🎸😃
