This was a time these stars used their voices for good in the world. They helped out the less fortunate. Put aside their egos, came together and got good work done. Just like with; We Are The World& Thats What Friends Are For. Now these kids in the business they just run their mouths spouting political views. They don’t care about the world or giving back with their money and talent. All these stars coukd get together and give some time to help the homeless situations we have in this country. They don’t have to do anything but give their time! Others will give and how many people could be helped from homelessness and drug abuse in 2023 from a collaboration like this. Think of the homeless children in the streets with drug addicts as parents. These people could help!

I can't tell if those are real cheers during the introductions at the beginning. Some people got absolutely nothing and some got thunderous applause. Such an insensitive crowd for today's standards.🤣

I was 14-years old and spent the entire day at or near the very front row from the first notes until the last notes...what a day, what a time. It's hard to believe that 37-years have passed, now older than Willie was on this day, I just saw him again this last week Sept 20th 2022 in New York's Central Park .... What a line up!
@314Thethirdeye08 Жыл бұрын
Speaking of Willie, think about this. How many times was Willie’s bus stopped and arrests made for marijuana and hell it’s legal in probably 1/2 the US, and medical in even more places. Think of the changes he’s seen in his lifetime.

How much money, did the rubes give to this scheme? How much money was laundered back to these 'musicians' and shell corporations with their 'charities' where the board members were also the administrators of said charities?
@trailerparkpimp Жыл бұрын
@t luddite Are you a farmer? Do you understand how 'charity' drives work? How little you have to spend in charity to satisfy your 501c3 requirements? Do you understand how charitable trusts work? No, you just run on feeling good, and boasting about the clotshot booster you just got.

What is with the rock?
@meckert20232 жыл бұрын
It’s a rock from the actual Death Valley in California. Legendary Clemson coach, Frank Howard, for whom the field is named after, used it as a doorstop for years but eventually placed it at the top of the hill and famously told his team “if you can’t give me 110% keep your filthy hands off my rock” and they’ve been touching it for good luck ever since

The "Economic Setbacks" the narrator is talking about started with Earl Butz (Secretary of Agriculture under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford) included Government Regulations that were designed to bankrupt the farmers and then offer some of them subsidies if they used Petroleum Chemicals based agriculture; the rest were bought out by big agribusiness and some of the small farmers that were willing, able, and ready to scale-up with the help of their government captors... ah, I mean "helpful 'Department of Agriculture' bureaucrats".
