A quite dreadful reading - it's the same intonation for every line, irrespective of what the line is saying or what it means. It's impossible to listen to. How come all these people who put this kind of thing online are such bad readers? Is their ability to read well in an inverse ratio to the size of their ego?

Thanks Mr. Norcott-Mahany! Your reading could not have been more fortuitous. With my kids home from school we have started a pandemic poetry club here in Portland OR. We are beginning with heroic couplets and you were our featured guest today. My 12 year old son wanted me to tell you that "An Essay on Man" inspired him. For better or for worse Alexander Pope got paired with "not a dope." All the best!
