I'm glad SEMA is supporting our right to choose ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) if we want or we can choose Electric if we want. We should NOT vote for a Government that removes our right to choose our form of automotive propulsion. The Decmoncrats have made it abundantly clear across the board they are for full control over what we drive. Anyone who votes for a Demoncrat is voting in favor of handing over our RIGHT to choose. In addition to the EV mandates Harris and the Demoncrats are pushing Harris said she is going to raise US business & Corporation Taxes up to 33% for the companies we all have jobs at. Also said she is going to LOWER import Taxes on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) companies that directly compete with US Corporations. That includes US Auto Manufactures like, GM, FORD etc. Inflation is the US has gone up 20% since Biden and Harris took office. Gas was $1.83 when Trump left office, where are gas prices NOW! Do you really want another four years of this double digit Inflation, and the added raising of US Business Taxes on the companies so many American work for on top of that? Best Blessings & Prayers. With the help of Trump appointed justices the Supreme Court finally overturned the Chevron Doctrine. Trumps record more aligns with the values of SEMA and virtually every auto enthusiast. Overturning EV mandates is icing on the cake.

If SEMA doesn't think Tr_mp is for sale to the highest bidder regardless of stance on EV or anything else they are sorely mistaken.

It is interesting to evaluate the aspect of what will happen if this legislation passes and there is not enough supply for the demand for transportation. Is there availability for carriers to switch to ZEV? Is there an infrastructure for charging, maintenance, support, emergency control and availability of spare parts that will allow them to adopt this technology in a timely manner? I personally doubt it. Add to this that if the cost goes up (it has been shown that an EV is more expensive to maintain due to labor costs that outweigh the advantage of parts and fuel consumption), this will be passed on to the consumer, and will have an impact on almost 100% of the products.
