mmm there are two outputs from the gt100. One for the Marshall stack ( or other ), and the second to the PA, in case the drummist is still too loud

Can I ask if it’s appropriate to play metal on this guitar? I play Metallica and DIO and such etc. thinking of the black onyx. The guitar just looks good.

I’ve got the Super 60 version and it’s a great amp it has a nice fat sound with a sparkly top end which isn’t too harsh I’m very impressed especially for the price and I’m a Quilter Cub 50 owner
@DizzyKrissiАй бұрын
Interesting - I love quilter and wonder which amp you prefer for what reason.
@ronengel4586Ай бұрын
@@DizzyKrissi They are both great amps but the Quilter is the better amp although it's twice the price here in Oz. The Quilter has a more tube like sound, the Eq is better, it has more headroom, as you increase the gain the overdrive is ok but nothing flash, the three amp models are nice I have the US version and it just feels more solid. On the other hand the Laney is pretty good as well and it is more flexible. It has a separate gain channel and a switchable boost which works on both channels so you have 4 switchable sounds which is nice. The OD channel does Stonsey and higher gain stuff well but not heavy metal. It also has a nice reverb and a very nice chorus and tremolo which you can switch between. The speaker was ok but I put in a 75w Celestion Creamback which is nice it fattens up the sound and softens the top end. It does lack a bit of clean headroom but it goes into a soft overdrive as you increase the gain and has this sparkly top end which is nice. I use a Joyo American sound pedal with it to get more Eq options they are great pedals for the price. The Laney seems to have a bit more character to it so I'm playing that a lot atm but that always changes!!
@DizzyKrissiАй бұрын
@@ronengel4586 : thanx for your indepth reply. I own 4 quilters and I love them all. The new Laney's nevertheless look promising. So if you swap out the speaker may have been an better option to get the loudpedal instead? The thing is that the Loudpedal is more expensive than the 1x12 version and nearly as expensive as the 2x12 version. On the other hand it may be worth the extra money for an extra speaker cabinet with the speakers of choice.

Man, I"ve read people saying these amps have too much of a boomy low end. What are your thoughts please?
@ronengel458616 күн бұрын
@@DizzyKrissi I've already got a US Superblock and I like the Combo thing plus it's got a great Tremolo so it works for me but just to confuse things Quilter have just released thing called Directamp which is similar to the Loudpedal but no poweramp which looks nice it just depends what you are after!

What a brilliant demo! It's nice to hear what a great set of pickups can do in the hands of a great player. This is also my favorite pickup set of all time. I've used it more than any other set. The Tone Zone is my all-time favorite bridge pickup and has been so since I first installed one in an old Charvel in 1991 just in time for a gig at The Roxy on the Sunset Strip. The Tone Zone delivers.

Excellent! I've seen the Martin Miller/Tom Quayle pedal amp videos, and thought it would be good to see them in combo form. Is this new combo based on those pedals to some extent? And can it get loud enough to gig with a powerful drummer?

Glad you liked it! Yes these combos are 60watts (just like all of the LOUDPEDALS and Ironheart Foundry heads). More than loud enough to gig with

This is a really great piece of music and I love the little nods to Liberty. I'm going to have a go at transcribing this one to play along, although the faster runs are above my skill level. Have you considered offering "naked" backing tracks of these on your bandcamp? I'd buy this one in a heartbeat
