Nice job. Words of wisdom. Dawn Ultra is what I use. Both alcohol and dish soap have been found to have similar results if my understanding is right though some will argue that one is better than the other. Keep up the good work my friend from down here in Southeast Alabama.
@NevadaBeeMan-nq3po9 сағат бұрын
I prefer alcohol.. it’s thinner and the mites settle better than soap .. plus it’s clear and makes it easier to see than dark blue
@barkersbees4 сағат бұрын
Yeah everyone definitely has their preferences! Alcohol works great too! Have you watched the Greg burns video alcohol vs dawn? It’s a good one.
@NevadaBeeMan-nq3po3 сағат бұрын
@@barkersbees I have … and I don’t base what I use off of one example .. If there was more data behind soap maybe I would consider it
@barkersbees3 сағат бұрын
@@NevadaBeeMan-nq3po fair enough. I know quite a few who use the soap. Just not a lot of KZbin videos behind it. I’ve used both and they have been very similar to each other with the results but I agree I don’t base it off of one thing either. I just like to try new things and I haven’t had bad experiences with the soap or alcohol.

Sometimes maybe 1/2 the time with laying workers the queen starts laying at the same time as the workers. You gotta look closely. No need to walk away with them shake right in front of the queen right colonies or use newspaper to combine them. If it’s a drone laying queen you always want to kill her. I believe people have a difficult time fixing this issue because they don’t actually know what is happening. When the queen is laying beside the workers it takes a couple weeks for it to straighten itself out anyway, they are setback. I think it’s funny how people make such a big deal of this or have crazy ideas about it.
@NevadaBeeMan-nq3po28 күн бұрын
I have had this work both ways … depending on how strong the field force is .. if they are too great they will kill the queen
@brucesbees28 күн бұрын

I might have missed it but what kind of seed? Was that wheat or rye or a grass of some kind?
@barkersbeesАй бұрын
It is a 3 way seed it’s triticale, barley and soft white wheat. We plant it then right before the seed gets hard we cut it and bale it for feed for cattle
