It's pretty sad, almost 50 years later and the mall is almost desolate. There is hardly any people that go into town, it's almost abandoned. Back. here there was people every where. Such a sad situation

I was born in 1983 and raised in Launceston - I remember those play blocks being there as a kid and they were always gross and sticky from drinks and cigarette butts/litter were always inside them. Ah memories....haha.

Was this a first model year Spyder?
@Akaroa_Pilot Жыл бұрын
Yes, bought it brand new, 2008 model. $30,000 Au dollars, was very expensive for what it was. Only did 5,000 klms on it, over 4 years. Have had 3 Harley Davidson bikes since. 😊

How did you get your daytime running lights to only be the Halo lights? Is there a setting in the menu or did you have to do some wire modification?
@Akaroa_Pilot2 жыл бұрын
Hi Pete, I had the lights done by a professional, so what you see here is that he wired them so that they came on with all the park lights, and also you can turn on the fog lights as well ( I have them off here.) So, your choice to have them come on with the key, or only when you turn the lights on. We chose " Lights on " Hope that helps.

This idea only works if you also have medium to medium-high density housing close by, so that you don't need to build endless car parks. It also means you have customers and population density adjacent the mall right on-site. This and the park is one of the best places in Lonny, but the population is still too sparse to make it thrive.

What’s the road like to get to the mine?
@Akaroa_Pilot3 жыл бұрын
Hi William, the road up to Stanhope 2 is steep and requires a full 4 wheel drive. You could also walk up, its about 500 metres up. This is from where we were parked this day. The road from Avoca to the boom gate is OK, after that you have to be careful in a normal car, as after Fenhope Bins, the road is very narrow. Hope this helps.

Downtown malls were built in many American cities from the 1950s to the '70s. They started out just like this, seemingly filled with promise, and gradually the downtowns deteriorated regardless. Reading the other comments suggests that happened here too.
