Tamu Massif is the largest by area covered, covering about 120,000 square miles. Largest Active Volcano is Mauna Loa, at 30,085 ft from base to summit, which is taller than Mount Everest. Mauna Loa only covers 2% area of what Tamu Massif covers. Both of these Volcanoes are examples of Shield Volcanoes. Another thing is the difference between Yellowstone and both Tamu Massif and Mauna Loa. Yellowstone is called a Super Volcano due to it being a caldara, and its last eruption collapsed its walls into its magma chamber which covers about 70 by 45 kilometers (43 by 28 miles). Because of this, Yellowstone is a volcanic field, with numerous eruptive vents spread out across the landscape, reflecting the large and complex reservoir of magma that lies beneath the ground and that fed the eruption that formed the caldera. So Yellowstone is not a stratovolcano. It’s not a shield volcano. It’s not a cinder cone or a lava dome or a coulee or a plug. Rather, it demonstrates a style of volcanism that includes rare large explosive eruptions associated with caldera collapse, preceded and followed by smaller eruptions. Other caldera complexes in the USA include Valles in New Mexico and Long Valley in California. Beyond the US, caldera complexes are typified by Taupō in New Zealand and Campi Flegrei in Italy. A super volcano is a volcano that has erupted with more than 1,000 cubic kilometers (240 cubic miles) of pyroclastic material, which is an 8 on the Volcano Explosivity Index (VEI). Super volcano eruptions are rare and extremely powerful. Some examples of super volcanoes include: -Yellowstone: The Yellowstone hotspot has had three super eruptions in the last 2.1 million years, forming the Island Park, Henry's Fork, and Yellowstone calderas. The Island Park Caldera eruption was the largest, producing 2,500 times more ash than the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption. -Long Valley: Located in eastern California -Toba: Located in Indonesia -Taupo: Located in New Zealand

July 2024 a geothermal explosion occurred which is water and steam. That's it as of December 2024. No lava. No volcano. Lot's of AI here and Yellowstone isn't near the Ocean so the volcano blowing up by the ocean is Hawaii or the LaPalma Island of the Canary Islands. 🙄

We are in no danger, there is no evacuation. These are photos of the 2018 eruption. NO homes in danger now. I can see it from my kitchen. Lava is staying in the caldera. Everyone is safe. Only the first photo is new. No LERZ eruption.

copied from the usgs website When will Yellowstone erupt again? We do not know. Future volcanic eruptions could occur within or near Yellowstone National Park for the simple reason that the area has a long volcanic history and because there is hot and molten rock, or magma, beneath the caldera now. Yellowstone is monitored for signs of volcanic activity by YVO scientists who detect earthquakes using seismographs and ground motion using GPS (Global Positioning System). YVO has not detected signs of activity that suggest an eruption is imminent.

They could rename the viideo 'Icelandic Volcano last week rather than today. especially if they want to report 'Ugency and/or emergency after Icelandic authorities have announced stability as it is just another eruption but out in non populated areas with the lava flows not threatening populated areas.

This is a warning from God.If the 2020 election was stolen, may God bring forth the guilty. If the election was not stolen, may God bring down the guilty. If the joint chiefs are fired or if troops are deployed against peaceful protesters, may God show his displeasure at yellowstone,Amen I did not vote for president.
