Great explanation of foraminal stenosis. I have severe left moderate right foraminal stenosis C4 C5. Recently had to take time off from work due to a flare up was treated with epidural steroid injections bilateral and RFA injections plus physical therapy. Physical therapist took a look at the mri and due to the severe narrowing and a 4 mm bulging disc with a ap diameter of 9 mm he said it’s a no go on Cervical adjustments as part of my physical therapy treatment!

Chiropractors helped me not have to get spinal surgery. I spent 31 days in a hospital with a herniated L5 S1. Dr's could only say that surgery wasn't advised. A nurse finally gave me a few stretches where I could sit up without extreme pain. As soon as I got out, I started getting adjustments 3 times a week. In 3 weeks I was totally out of pain. I must say I routinely use xray prior to care in alot of cases, I just don't image if too young. I am only 3 years out into my career seeing 120pw in my clinic, and the xray prior to care gives me alot of insight that the history may not have elucidated, and to be honest it just helps settle any anxiety or lack ot contidence prior to adjustments
