What is a spitfire mark 10?

The elliptical wing concept wasn't new. It's benefits were first published 1907 by Fredrick Lanchester. Mitchell had used elliprical wings since 1924. The Spitfire elliptical wing was revolutionary though for its strong yet thin structure. I'd like to see someone build the prototype of his 1937 Type 312 with ventral radiator and carb intake under the spinner. That would have been the ultimate Spitfire.

8:50 Where did you get that from? That's actually so incorrect. P-51s supercharger has stage 1 and stage 2 and It's effectiveness depends on the altitude. Stage 1 is the most effective at around 1.5 km. So above that or below that your engine power actually decreases. Then you will start losing engine power quite rapidly until around 3.5km. After that the stage 2 supercharger kicks in. Going higher will make your engine power go up again and it peaks at 5.8 km. Going higher again will make you lose engine power again. 5 km is okay. But performance at 4 km is actually pretty bad. So best altitudes for P-51s are 1-2km and then 5-6 km. Also saying P-51 has powerful engine is not a good statement. The power to weigh ratio is actually pretty bad. What's carrying the P-51 are It's good aerodynamics, top speed and good linear energy retention. But if you like to so much keep an eye on the premium P-51D-10. It does appear in the shop sometime. Also look into Manual Engine Controls. With it you can literally WEP indefinitely if you set the radiators to like 80-90% (depending on the map) and you don't lose much top speed due to It's radiators meredith effect.

This video transformed my way of playing j2m2. I went from "What? Wait? What? From where? Oh i'm dead" to only die when I do the dumb thing of turnfighing (grinded with Zeroes, it is hard to retrain my muscle memory). But...... AND BIG BUT: What to do if you go 5 consecutive games without dying BUT WITHOUT KILLING ANYONE, literally 0 score, because both teams go full Deathmatch and you can't participate in any fight because you are doing your job maintaining energy superiority? (And no, i dont sit 6km high. I climb and START DIVING at enemies at 5.5km, sometimes 6km. But the time i spend diving is the time everyone headon each other) Anyway, the video is 100% helped me a lot already.

Very good video rexy. I would add as a weakness that the j2m2 is slower than a bunch of plane and you can use this at your advantage by extending thus negating the energy advantage. This can work only in fast plane like p51, p47, fw190. If you are playing the Raiden and a faster the plane is running away don't stick to it fake a retreat and use your low speed maneuverable and acceleration to get shot on him
