Your aim with the Lis's TV missile is insane! I struggle even getting a single kill with it during a game! What I love doing in 2042 is using Lis on maps like Stranded and using her TV missile to kill proned campers. Its so satisfying. Yeah you don't get many kills from it but its hella fun teaching those campers a lesson about why sniping ain't productive

I'm about to T1 Lis but I'm struggling to get better against air vehicles as well. I've messed around with vehicle sensitivity quite a bit, as that is what setting allows you to control the missile flight. I thought a higher sensitivity would be better, as you can bend the missile easier but I actually find I'm better with less ability to adjust the flight of the missile, so I'm set @ 20 right now.

I just T1 Lis and the thing with air vehicles is you got to learn to lean the rocket. You got to make the pilot fly into the rocket rather than get the rocket to hit the pilot.

In your opinion do you think they nerfed the 20mm LatV too much? I've been using it lately and I know people used to spam it against infantry, but that doesn't mean it has to have next to 0 range for air vehicles right?

Yes for anti-air gun a 200m range is nothing, but DICE assume that multiple jeeps can be deployed simultaneously and thus can easily tilt the balance of ground vs air vehicles, of course that doesn't happen in a normal match with random players. IMO Instead of a hybrid jeep that is Jack of All Trades, Master of None .. we should have a good light combat vehicle like Oshkosh L-ATV and have a better AA vehicle, each of them dedicated to their role.

Yes definitely, I think it might go out to 250m max but that's still pretty weak beyond some low flying heli's...and against infantry, it does 1 dmg, making it the weakest weapon in the game against infantry. I'd rather see those AA guns they have in Haven, on the bases of every map and give the Wildcat APS, those two things would be helpful in the balance of the game.

I think it's just 2042 in particular that had truly terrible music. (And I say that as someone who actually enjoys 2042 overall. It's a fun, good Battlefield.) If you go back and listen to the best of BF1 and BFV's songs, especially the sweet "end of match" ramp-up tracks, they're actually pretty awesome game music. Here's hoping the series returns to good music in the next game.

Might still be the worst of the 3? Doesn't mean it can't get work done, but the reload time feels pretty extreme in sustained fights -- and many fights _will_ be sustained fights due to it still not killing all that fast. I also lean towards 12.7mm Thermal for my gunner. 40mm Grenade Launcher is close in value, especially on rare occasions when enemies are clumped or around cover, but 12.7mm lets a good gunner be an excellent DPS laser at all times (and also provide fantastic spotting). Specifically the reason I lean 12.7mm is that anytime you have to fight from 50m or longer (which can be a lot, depending on map), the 12.7mm is going to _way_ outperform Grenades. (Granted, the gap should narrow as skill level increases, but I think 12.7mm will always have the advantage.)

Agree 100%, I play strictly vehicle support, I gun, repair, manually spot and protect the vehicles rear and sides from sneaky C5 deployers.....and the thermal HMG is overall the best weapon for me to do my job. The absolute worst for me is getting into a tank with the TOW missile in the gunners seat, if they don't at least have the 60MM mortar in the weapon pod seat, then I usually get out because there is little I can do to help that driver.

If it's the worst and I think it is, then no one will select it, it has to be a viable option that me and you argue about which one is better X or Y, currently I think everyone agree it's not worth it.

@@Eric-qx1kx Yeah generally I dislike tanks that bring TOW, unless most of the rest of the kit is very anti-infantry (HE cannon, good coax-HMG play, and/or mortar/volley). I do think it has value if you have a duo teammate and want to work through several enemy vehicles that are causing your team problems, but I basically never choose it myself.

Oh, wow that's still terrible...it takes like 3 rounds to kill infantry....lol....and the vehicle dmg is just pitiful. No one should be using that, the missiles are the way to go but the 105 is a pretty solid option too.

@@Raptor_i81 Yeah they are very cautious about making ground vehicles too over powered vs infantry. Apparently OP aircraft is fine for the devs though, that new stealth bomber kerosene bomb is nuts, melts loads of infantry with ease.

I recomend you to watch the "Imogarcia" channel, he is problably the only pilot who can use 100% of the potential of the howitzer cannon. Btw he has the world record of kills on conquest 128 with this tank!

4:05 This whole sequence after bugging out from the enemy tank is just.... chef's kiss. First you get stuck in a ditch, then take out a helo while stuck, then fight off an AA who *should* have had you dead to rights, scare off another helo, and then finish off the AA. It also felt the same for me at 11:47 that seems like a direct hit with no kill, as for guys not repairing maybe they are not engineers 🤔 !, in general engineers are good in BF2042, except for those assault imposter as engineers 😉.

I mean, if the intend was to make it stronger against infantry they nailed it; appreciate the buff but I still believe the same power the howitzer brings in CQC can be replaced via the grenade launcher rather than making it redundant… Sooooooo missiles are still meta due to their damage and capabilities against anything… isn’t it?

The howitzer definitely looks way better now, seems to have some pretty decent splash dmg against infantry too...but... against vehicles its just OK, kind of similar to the 25MM APDS. So missiles I think is the better option overall, the RAM is really meant to be a fast, hit and run, anti-armor type vehicle, so the missiles work great for that.

A tip, when using the cannon against infantry, mix it with the machine gun... you don't stop shooting and kill much faster... and you can deal with several at once... this cannon gives you the opportunity to use the very fast machine gun...

Ram is the only fun left for me in the game, used to chill with AA and anti missile but they had to ruin the chill. One issue with ram that it flips and bumps with obstacles more than regular humvee and yet considered as heavy vehicle. IRONIC!

Those who do not play a lot in vehicles will never fully grasp how difficult these types of runs are without an engineer to repair. Do you play on US servers...?? If I ever see you in a game I'll gun/repair for you. I rarely ever get a good driver but when I do its quite fun.

Everyone plays engineer since the assault C5 nerf. I see entire teams of just mainly recon and engineers now. Most of these folks have no interest in playing in or repairing vehicles, they only want the explosive dmg capabilities of the class. The class system is broken now the way it is, need to go back to the BFV class system IMO for the next game, where engineers were more valued for their vehicle support.

You always seem to end up with the worst gunners, I'm out there repairing and keeping my vehicles I support health topped off constantly. Better chance of surviving a jet or bomber straf with full health, that guy didn't even bother to jump out and repair when you were below 50, thats nuts on a map like this. Hell I'll jump out and try to repair, even when I'm almost certainly going to die and on a map like this I'm always out there repairing, as the only real risk is getting sniped from the tower, then I just pop a smoke and repair.

@@Raptor_i81 Its the only thing I really enjoy in the game, the challenge of trying to keep a vehicle on the battlefield as long as possible. If I'm in say a Wildcat and the driver goes rushing off to back cap an objective by himself, then no I'm not going to put much effort into it, as no matter what I do the vehicle is not going to last more then about 30 seconds. BUT if I'm in with a driver like you, who knows when to be aggressive, when and where to back off and does not run away from their engineer when they get out to repair....hell yeah, I'll go all out, I'll be riding on the back of the Wildcat with a torch in my hand much of the game. Thats fun to me, even if I'm at the bottom of the leaderboard in the end.
