Wrap a bit of insulating tape where you want your reel seat then slip it over the tape and attach the reel . No more twisting 👍

Hello, Billy. Thank you so much for your videos. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no information about rock fishing in the Russian segment of KZbin. I enjoy watching all of your videos. It's very pleasant to see a good-natured person so passionate about their work. And, of course, there is a tremendous amount of very useful information. I understand that in these videos, it's all your experience, hundreds of hours of practice. I really appreciate that. Thank you. When I was in Norway, traveling on a motorcycle, I had no fishing gear, no fishing rod at all, and I just watched at fishermans and dreamed that someday I would try it too. At the end of August, I'm going to the coast of the Barents Sea to get away from civilization, to live in a tent for almost two weeks. Thanks to you, now I know how to fish on the coast. Thank you very much. With love from Russia! Peace to the world!

Superglue will get brittle over time. For a more permanent fix, use epoxy resin with carbon fibre shavings from an old broken piece added in. Stronger, more flexible and lasts longer. I still have a years old Frankenrod that works great.

The super lasts for ages, and it's so easy to apply. It causes absolutely no problems. You saw how much effort to talk in the video! And just about anybody can do it if they have a finger. The thanks for writing in.

Alternatively gently rub a candle on the joint and wax does the same thing as the glue - saves stuck fingers too 😂

That spigot (made portion of joint) looked very well scratched and a few gouges, probably why it was loose. I always wipe my Rod joints with cloth or hand before joining to get rid of dust or grit etc this is what causes the wear. I have a couple of beach casters that are over 30 years old and had masses of use, still got good tight joints. So cleaning your joints is a good tip as well. By the way the old version of this was to rub it with candle wax to give it a film, needed at regular intervals.

I have experimented with the baking soda and also graphite powder, but I have to say Tom's method with just the super glue seems to work the best! What I suppose it all depends on how much gap you have to bridge! What I like about Tom's method is, it levels out easily. Hunter isn't much adjusting to do.
