Good to see humanity will still be around in 2042 and we haven’t nuked ourselves into oblivion.

I guess they should put a huge “Welcome” sign for you at every pass. Maybe with some balloons. Would that make you feel better?

This is the next one I'm crossing off for the challenge. I'm taking it all the way from Windsurfer Beach. I love watching and researching videos of a major hike I'm going to be doing before I actually do it. Thank you for such a a great in depth video! It helped a lot!

Thanks for the comment regarding the Lewis Peak hike. You've got to see my last backpacking into the Wind Rivers. It's really long but you can experience the entire hike and see how easy it really is.

I pretty much avoid the Wasatch, that is me though, rather do Moab/Teton/Saint George/Zion From Jackson the loop around Yellowstone is 330 miles, very long day night. If you go around the wind Rivers it is 460 miles, Dubois Lander back around to Pinedale Hoback. Bam. Lander is awesome area, go up sinks canyon take dirt road out far side then hit dirt road along the backside SUV or 4x4 car can do it if good conditions, you come out in Pinedale.

It is five hours from Moab here, and Teton, and Saint George UT Zion 53 miles from SG/Toroweap BLM1069 over Trumbull 80 miles dirt road 4x4 best/North Rim 140 miles from SG. Moab has 5 peaks over 12k which are way better to hike than Arches, go up the backside out of La Sal 4x4 best or up to Gold basin. Toroweap is it as far as Grand Canyon goes. If you go over Mount Trumbull up BLM1069 you can camp at Mount Trumbull TH and walk up mountain see everything, lava flows, Mount Logan Valley to Toroweap. Go early get to Toroweap at 1045am, for photos Sun has to be directly over canyon take west view first, Lava Falls before Sun goes that way.

Great Hike, especially from the Beach instead of the east side parking lot. Longer but worth it. One of the more scenic places around when the pollution is not hanging over Salt Lake/Ogden. Kayaking is fun if wind is not to bad epic flies certain times of the year. Great bicycling place generally won't get ran over, can be windy, if not from the west if 96 or higher you go from fine to I think I am dying when heat exhaustion hits you. No transition. Generally 96 because once over your body temperature in no humidity is when it gets you. Take an umbrella in hot months! works wonders.

Ben Lomond is always a great hike, but Lewis Peak in the Fall can't be beat. Good times!
