I need to get a new one, I have mine to a family member but I miss it. 🪈

I love your intentional and relistic goals your setting for this new year. I can definitely relate to a lot of what you said. I have 3 kids with dyslexia and dyscalculia and it's been hard and sometimes discouraging. I also have another child who went through an extremely rough and hard time the past 2 years, and it was a mental and emotional roller-coaster for our whole family. We were only able to do the bare minimum. Plus, on top of that, I have a lot of health issues. So, I can totally relate to all the pressures and the mom-guilt for not doing more when you see all these other moms doing so much more. Praise God for His grace and faithfulness to get us through. I definitely think surrounding yourself with a community will be so beneficial. We joined a co-op last year, and it was a God sent.

Hi there, new to your channel, loved your vibes in this video and your thoughts and feedback about homeschooling. I'm just starting our homeschooling journey with my oldest, it's a challenge and takes lots of extra effort for sure, but yes the responsibility of it all falls on your shoulders and it's daunting!

Welcome to homeschooling! It’s a tough one, but so worth it! ❤️ if you need guidance, suggestions, anything don’t hesitate to reach out. I had a lot of support (my mom, my sisters) I can’t imagine doing it without them!

@TheHappyHomeschooler we were doing the space unit. I mean I'm a little bit OCD so I was trying to do all the experiments and the notebook and journal and everything it was just too much. I also think my little boy was getting bored of just doing space. He is six and in first grade so we decided to get the little helping hands by the good and the beautiful and add really exciting stuff to every section. It's really been neat because we've added some really amazing stuff in there. Just things like getting an ant farm and a butterfly garden. Next year we will do more in depth studies but a 6 year old's only going to take in so much and then it needs to be reviewed again.

I'm way over this age (late 50s LOL!) but I've always liked to read 'below my level' to relax. it used to be highly discouraged so I had to be sneaky about it LOL! but I watch youtube channels to get ideas for self and gifts and recently got Poppy's Place - agirl is nuts about kitties but her mother won't let them get one. the family dynamics, changes, and creativity on the part of the kids was pretty good too. also like zoey and sassafras for the thinking skills and relationship with mother and daughter. there's magic in that one too with the animals.
@938quilt5 ай бұрын
billie brown sounds interesting to me - I don't like magic in general. I guess i never learned how to read it and be comfortable in fantasy, etc. harry potter's first book I think is the exception for me. that one I enjoyed

I was so strong in math when I had Saxon around age 11! I searched for a Saxon review simply to remember why I liked it so well. Thanks so much for this review. Im going to invest in their curriculum for myself and my kids. You're right its worth it. I was browsing math curriculums recently and didnt feel like any were as good as how I remembered Saxon. I remember A Beka being a close second (I used A Beka in 4th or 5th grade).
