I have compression rivets but when I try to set them, the post flattens and the rivets are not in line with each other. Are compression rivets designed to squash down ?

If the post is too long it will fold crooked. If the setting tool is crooked it will also fold crooked. Try shorter post lengths.

It seems time consuming for so,eons that wants to scale. What would you price them at?
@TierraCast
@TierraCast 11 ай бұрын
Once you get the hang of the technique a pair of earrings can be produced in less than an hour. Pricing depends on many factors including your area and your desired market. This type of work is very common and you should be able to find an array of price points to help you find yours. Happy selling!
@lsb9881
@lsb9881 11 ай бұрын
@@TierraCast If you charge $20-$25 for a pair which seem to be what Etsy sellers like to charge in this type of work it doesn't seem lucrative or competitive. After deductions you are making less than minimum wage. Confused.
@TierraCast
@TierraCast 11 ай бұрын
@@lsb9881 I get your confusion and frustration. Pricing is hard, and too often others find it necessary to price their work very low in order to get sales. You may try searching for other online options besides Etsy, which is huge with brutal competition. Also, you may be able to charge more lucrative prices if you search for local consignment situations instead. Upside, if you get good at this technique you can whip a pair of these up very quickly. Wishing you the very best of luck!

Many online retail jewelry supply sellers carry it. Do an internet search for 1/8" or 3mm deertan lace and you should get several results. Happy making!

Hi Tracy Yes it was a swarovski flat back that had multiple stones. I was surprised it came off with GS glue. So now I use Two part epoxy. I sell at craft shows.

We do these reel style videos to share on multiple social media platforms, and regrettably, most of them do not support them in a landscape format (you can do them, but they show up very small in the feeds), however, we do have livestream "real time" demos in regular 16:9 format for many of these same projects. Peruse our Projects & Info channel, or go to the project pages on our website to find a link.
