Did you know that 1946-1948 Buick, Chevy and Cadillac had the same Chassis? I have a 1947 Cadillac an a 1948 Buick Convertible and the chassis are about the same size with just a few modifications. I like these body style nice video.

My father had a gray '50 Fleetline DeLuxe. He wanted a green one, but the dealer told him, "This is what I have, take it or leave it. If you don't want it, I'm calling the next guy on my waiting list." He said after 2 1/2 years, it was totally shot, burning oil as fast as he could put it in. He traded it in for a '53 Pontiac Chieftain, which he kept for 14 years until we left Indiana.

My dad's car color was dark green. Once a year, he'd get out the wax and cleaner and start the sequence. Using paste, he'd hand apply and put on Simonize. It took hours and today, reminds me of the movie "wipe on, wipe off". That car sparkled after he was done!

I noticed the radio antenna on the side of the car. My dad's sedan had the antenna under the running boards. They were straps located on both sides. The gear shifter on the column was a first and vacuum assisted shift was a bonus. His model was the dark green. What was this color brown called?

The color is a custom fine metallic, not sure if the base has a name, another friend has a 37 Chevy Coupe with the antenna under the running boards as well , cool stuff 😉👍

I've got a '36 Standard Coupe that is painted the opposite. Maroon with black fenders and a little more of a hot rod.

Boy if that isn't a high 90's point car I'd be very surprised. Fleetline Chevy's are a stylists dream. Had a 51 Fleetline Deluxe when I was in the navy and it had the powerglide, hydraulic lifters, windshield visor and fender skirts. Loved that car but traded it in for a then brand new 54 Belaire.

Done to perfection, not over done - nice to see it without chrome eyelashes over top of headlights, just spectacular, probably looks as good today/10 years gone bye bye . . . :>/
