It's mentioned here before.. But cannot stress enough - use the back of your hand. If you use the palm, it naturally contracts when you shock it. Also (learned the hard way) make sure you haven't accidentally grounded yourself. A proper horse fence charge is a sting like a 12 volt battery in your tongue. Awe.. Too many stories. You'll figure it out

clean the jets and adjust the fuel mixture screw on the bottom of the carb. i got a 2001 yz426 and the carb clogs up quick if you dont run em

It's board over and Turbo charged LOL no it's because the valves are Going Out and need to be adjusted. Or it needs a top end re build

Great video, thanks! I have an 03 yz250f and it's having a weird issue where it'll run good for about 10 minutes and then die off when the engine warms up. I ruled out carb related or lack of gas cap pressure relief so I'm thinking something electrical has gone out on it which gets angry when the bike warms up. Will do these tests here soon.

I have the same bike and I was planning on swapping out the factory front number plate and headlight with a normal flat plate without the headlight. Any advice on how to do so? Thanks

Mine didn't come with a light on the front of it but there's probably a plug and play Connection for the light That you can disconnect or cut the wires and cap them off Tape them up. There's probably a mounting bracket for the light that comes off pretty easy too. And then you just buy a regular number play. If you take some pictures and send them I can help you. Show me what kind of light it is traced down the wires see if there's a plug and play connection or where do they go And I can help you determine what to do

Sounds like sh**. You need to go get the motor rebuilt ASAP or you’ll have bigger engine issues down the line. Happened to my 08 Yz250f rode it forever maybe out 400hours on it. Was backfiring like crazy one day one went like normal got quarter of a lap and a valve dropped engine started making hella loud sounds and shit and it seize after I turned it off. I’m on a 2024 Yz250f now.

So strange… I’m working on a 2005 wr250f that runs and revs in neutral but bogs and misfires in gear under load…. Apparently it was crashed hard and ran awful since…. I’ve already gone through the carb and everything else besides electrical.

I'm having the same problem with my 01 wr250f I changed plug idled up been playing with the fuel screw. put larger jets in and cleaned the carb I can get it to sputter for like 1 maybe 2 seconds and it back fires if it doesn't sputter
