Richard was horrible for what he did at the end. His actions were a complete disregard for his wife and no matter what the truth of his intentions were, it's terrible on Richard's part. If he's just using Lizzie then he's displaying his neice as a whore to all of England and playing with her feelings. Also shaming his wife and hurting her feelings. OR. He could've been genuinely lusting over his neice, cheating on his wife and lying about it. Personally I think it was both as two things can be true at once. I call BS on him saying he didn't desire Lizzie, and his plan/strategy for political gain was also an excuse to cheat. (My opinion) And Anne seemed to realize this as well, since you could see she didn't believe him and it genuinely broke her heart. This breaks my heart... and this happens so much in real life too. Husbands starting to lust after younger women when their wives grow older💔

Tive pena da Anne, admito. Eles eram um casal perfeito de início, depois de sofrer nas mãos de Edward (seu primeiro marido) ela finalmente reencontrou e ficou com o cara que amava desde o começo, Richard. E dava pra perceber que eles se apoiavam, tanto nas questões políticas quanto como casal, eram parceiros. Porém como Richard disse, a um preço a ser pago para chegar perto do trono, no final de tudo ainda acho que ele a amava, mesmo que pareça estranho, Elizabeth era mais pela luxúria, faz sentido? Bem, só sei que ele não foi a última batalha com a benção de sua esposa

Eu não pensei em momento algum assistindo a série, que ele deixou de amá-la. Ele tinha um jeito próprio de amar, diferente do dela, foi mostrado desde o início e mesmo ficando com a Elizabeth por interesse ou sentimento... Ele sempre se apoiava na Anne. Tanto que na cena onde ele vela o corpo dela, grita pra Elizabeth sair de perto dele. Eu gosto do jeito como retrataram ele. Uma pessoa boa que foi perdendo a essência com o tempo.

Eu tenho a mesma opinião que a sua... quando Rei ele se perdeu na luxúria do poder e Elizabeth representava isso, enquanto Anne era o real e verdadeiro. Depois de assistir a série fiquei inquieta e inconformada com esse desfecho... passei dias pesquisando artigos sobre Anne e Richard, e na história real ele não ficou com Elizabeth, amou Anne até o fim, inclusive ele chorou no funeral dela o que era muito incomum para Reis naquela época... então isso acalentou meu coração 💓

Na vida real acharam uma carta da Elizabeth querendo que a rainha morresse logo para que o Richard arrumasse logo um casamento para ela, ele parou tudo inclusive os deveres reais quando Anne ficou doente, não era comum para os reis da época. Fora que na vida real o George escondeu ela em uma cozinha como criada em um lugar bem distante do reino só para ela não casar com o Richard, mas ainda sim ele procurou ela é não parou até achar, na vida real a história dos dois é mais bonita que na série, não existe registro de amantes dele, sendo que a maioria dos Reis tinham muitas. Mesmo na série eu acredito que ele ainda amava ela, de um jeito distorcido depois que virou rei mas ainda amava.
