That last step is super important. It took me a while to realize I would walk away from a ft2 with no knowledge of my opp patterns. I would just hope they got conditioned

This is super helpful my friend, I was stuck at Shinryu a few days ago, and I think I intuitively figured out that point you made about starting your mixups at less predictable times, especially when the opponent is expecting a counterpoke. Climbed to Mighty Ruler and almost Flame Ruler in like 5 days!

Hi. Many thanks for this good vid. Im new to tekken (only played tekken3 arcade 20 years ago as a Child). I have now 500 hours playtime and just hit kishin with Jin and Im still learning proper wavedashing, wavedash in electrics and KBD. I can all this things but still not fast enough and not consistent. Since my timing/movement is not very well Im using other tools Jin offers. Especially in ranked matches I fear to lose matches by trying stuffs Im not yet comfortable with. My question: Should I play more in quick matches to learn using wavedash/EWHF properly before going back into ranked matches, or should I just play and try it out in ranked even if I lose because of that? So far I made only some random tekken friends, which I encountered during my journey. I dont have anyone to play with offline. (I know that a rank is less important than skills. But still Im somehow obsessed to survive the blue ranks and reach Tekken King in the next months. PS: I do not cherrypic and take every rematch.)
@SolusFather10 сағат бұрын
Yea I'd suggest using quick match to get more comfortable with using those things if u dont feel like you are ready to do it in a ranked match yet.

Can't thank you enough for detailing those things, for some years I had to "try for myself" those concepts without anybody helping. I have a question related to electrics, as a Kazuya main (intermediate at the most) I see lots of Kaz players just not using electrics if not to hard punish, this is because at my level (red to purple) it's more efficienty or it's just we are not using it right? I remeber in Tekken 7 there were lots of electrics going on. Thank you for you content! Keep it up!
@SolusFather11 сағат бұрын
I've actually took notice to this as well most players aren't utilizing electrics as much back in Tekken 7, I have an electric guide planned next to show how to get the most optimal usage out of it
@MoarRobots6 сағат бұрын
Kazuya use to get major damage with EWGF in 7 but sadly doesn't get that much in 8. Still an amazing launcher and should be use more. However, when you have other characters being able to do comparable or more damage than you with less execution, its tips the risk of failing an ewgf and getting wgf into danger territory. I would imagine that to be the reason.
@DjGaiden12 сағат бұрын
Another Banger! I have a Mishima related question. If your wavedashing and back dashing are strong, will that benefit Kazuya or Devil Jin more?
@kofatsu8 сағат бұрын
it'll benefit both equally imo. if i had to pick one, it'd probably be kaz since he's a lot less pokey and more reliant on whiff punish.
@SolusFather8 сағат бұрын
I think it will benefit them both the same, as for all mishimas, they are heavily reliant on backdashing to create space
@syazwansalleh184612 сағат бұрын
Hi. I cant seem to land wavedash into ff2. It only register f2 which is the powet crush. Ty if you answered.
@DjGaiden12 сағат бұрын
Tap F2 once after the wavedash instead of FF
@DjGaiden12 сағат бұрын
^This same concept applies to F4. You do FF4 out of wavedash to get F4. The extra F input registers you to leave the wavedash animation.
@syazwansalleh184611 сағат бұрын
@@DjGaiden oo isee. Thank for that. Time to upgrade my kazuya gameplay
@AngeloNeroSparda9 сағат бұрын
As djgaiden said, once you're doing f, n, qcf, n, qcf to do your wavedash, you only need to tap f once to get an ff attack, as it "stacks" with the last input of your wavedash. Conversely, if you do tap ff after wavedash you can get a WR attack, so you can fff3 out of wavedash
@syazwansalleh18467 сағат бұрын
@@AngeloNeroSparda oo this. I always get my fff3 but ff2 didnt not input. Good to know.

I'd love a Mishima movement guide. I've been playing them for a while but my wavedashes to control the space are no where near as good as yours. I find the very fast micro wavedashed into block particularly difficult. Your kbd is also so fast and clean! You got a lot of great sidestep while kbd'ing into a whiff punish

@SolusFather2 күн бұрын
Distance management will vary for each character and even then, some characters are just almost impossible to manage distance against. You have to develop a feel of what move your opponent likes to throw out the most in the neutral and either backdash or sidestep
