Why is it idling so fast? I'd like to hear these pipes with the quiet baffles...these would be too loud to be on the bike for very long at a a time...

This isn't a true comparison video. It's only goal is make the Yamaha look like a better machine. They should have put a Polaris rep on the Sportsman, it's clear the rider is trying to make the Polaris look bad.

What a joke. I had a 21 grizzly and it was boring. Traded for a sportsman 850 and couldn’t be happier.

Can the motor do al the work? Or must a rider pedal for every yard and meter? What is the range on that?
@Hamann96313 жыл бұрын
Never mind. I checked the website for Yamaha bicycles. It is only a pedal assist motor. It can't be used by itself. The wording on the website was throttle. It doesn't have a throttle.

Whoever was driving the Polaris 850 clearly was paid to make it look bad I got a 570sp and it could out walk both of those machines. Grizzly is a tough machine and is very reliable. The comfort and suspension on the Polaris and especially the AWD would outperform the grizzled any day. The AWD is superior on Polaris than every other machine out there. I need an honest review

Watch your ass buying in California without a 50 state epa sticker DMV will not register it and you'll be left with a piece of expensive garbage you can't use.

I have 2 Grizzy 2017 and now have 2018 Sportsman XP 1000 for 3 years now I know that Sportsman 100 % better in every way possible. I know this video is 9 years old so my 2017 Grizzy is better than the one in the video or my older one but the new Sportsman XP 1000 is in another world couldn't Love it more.

Put another cylinder on that yamaha 700 and i think it would beat the 850 polaris no problem keep that big single cylinder 700 just add another cylinder and piston but keep em same size that 700 will do what them 1000s do but maybe better idk

few people who have ridden both of these atvs will agree with this... sportsman is just smoother more comfortable more powerful and more capable than a grizzly, not that there's anything wrong with the yamy, it just lacks development

Well let's see, the polaris rides better, has more ground clearance, it's way faster, has way more torque, better dealer support? Better resale & way more than I care to mention here. Ride both and decide like I did. I brought an 850sp and couldn't be happier. By the way I'm 57 and started riding dirt bikes then 3 wheelers then quads at 5 years old and have owned Hondas, Hodaka's Can Am's Polaris so I think I have a little bit of experience and I'll admit that the Yamaha is a little more reliable (not by much) but parts are way more expensive. This video is b.s. I never met a grizzly that could come close to me in a drag race, out climb, outpull, out plow my polaris and where did they get their sales stats? The grizzle does make a good starter or grandpa bike but it's not for
@Kevinstrickland334 жыл бұрын
Yeah this video is pure bullshit . I have a grizzly now but I used to have a sacrambler 850. Loved the thing for rock crawling , awd was flawless , never ever have i smoked a belt and the clutch was super smooth. Belt was way easier to get at. Both great bikes but i think the grizzly is better made a better refined
