I love it, and been efoiling on lift for 6 years, I use it all the time now as it does not diminish any type of riding and only enhances it! Especially here in BC in Squamish with 53 degree water I just jump off the dock onto the board and never get wet. The only reason to go without is to shw you dont need it to ride, they did a killer job!

what do you do with them beyond great for newbies? don't want to take my dog. ?? I had one ordered but it got backordered and I canceled it. Now that I'm comfortable on my 5'4" foiling I'm not sure what I'd do with it. Im a bit surprised they didn't design one for the Pro 4'2" board so big (225lbs) guys like me could foil on that little board. ;) I don't suppose any of you have tried the Fliteboad inflatable for comparison?

@@mikeb1039 hi Mike.. the Blowfish is an awesome addition to your board for varied reasons. Learning to foil is just one of them. Transport of additional gear, take kids or partners on a bit of an excursion, more stability to ride waves, snorkeling aid to have on water support etc. Only your mind will limit you. In saying that, if all you do is ride flat water perhaps this is not a required tool. For me the Blowfish is an extension and expansion of what I can do with my boards. Tks for your view. Great review,but I am a bit confused by all the caveats. Why you would not want to go racing with that if has high top speeds at medium power and is still energy efficient?
@eFoilgc7 ай бұрын
A fast prop will take the motor beyond operation ideals, a bit like ‘overclocking’ a computer. Or perhaps like using a nitrous infusion into a car engine.. it’ll give you faster speeds but it’s not designed to be always on. Even normal motors are not advised to be at top speed all the time. Every bit of extra effort required from a motor has a price to pay 😊. That is the reason for my warning. She’s very powerful but we are not talking about Formula One capacity engines. That is my opinion, I hope it makes sense. Cheers V
@meshmellow7 ай бұрын
@@eFoilgc I see your point, it just sounded weird because I assumed that if it’s more efficient from a power consumption standpoint then you’d expect that it would result in less strain on the motor (which is the opposite of your analogy with the processor overclocking)

I got one of the first Triton X1s and the first of the Lift adapters. Its been one of my favorite wings now for the Lift efoil esp. in rougher water (I only ride flat water lakes, not ocean). It has a way of getting back under you and helping self right itself that other wings don't do and its surprisingly stable and easy to ride. I do notice my battery life isn't as good as standard wings though, so you'll loose a bit of ride time. I also had a Triton T-1 before and on the Lift efoil that was a bit more of a novelty wing, it was ridable and easy to get up on but it really drained the battery life significantly. I do recommend the X1 for the Lift efoil - and its a fun wing to ride wake foiling behind the boat. The T-1 not so much, I'd keep that one just for kiting.

Are there any advantages to having a fixed prop once you own a folding property? Would you ever switch back to your fixed prop?
@eFoilgc2 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, I think the only advantage would be if you’re towing, the 3 blade will give you a bit more pull. I’m so used to the Foldy that I even tow with it 🤣 but to not force the motor so much perhaps the fixed is better. Tks for the question and have fun mate 🏄♂️👍

Hi Jo, I’m 73kg .. I ride the 170, and 120 for bigger surf. I have used the 200 and find it really good as well, but the 250 is overkill for me, far too much lift. Of course all those sizes are HA

I have a 5’6 cruiser. And have loved it, but am thinking of selling it, and getting a smaller size efoil. Do you have any thoughts on what the difference between the bigger and smaller boards is in terms of ride, better or worse in anyway etc?
@eFoilgc2 жыл бұрын
Hi David, Tks for reaching out. Once you know how to ride smaller is always better. Less swing weight, etc. But also it depends on your frame size, weight and individual agility. If you’ve had the 5’6 and manage it ok I’d say go 4’9 for sure. + HA wing for longer ride and manoeuvrability. Send me a note with more info on your riding abs size and I’ll advise better. You can reach me on Messenger or phone as well if you prefer. Cheers, V 🤙😃🏄♂️
