Discontinued shoes are a real issue! To combat it I buy at least 3 pairs when I find a shoe that suits! Also, if you work in an office environment it sucks having to wear trainers etc rather than a formal shoe

Hi, great video. I just got the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake Premium Plus, which comes with a Panoramic Sunroof and Electric Memory Seats, among other useful features. There's a slight difference in dimensions between the A Class and CLA as well. The CLA is wider, so there's more shoulder room than in an A-Class, and it's more practical in terms of boot space. I've transitioned from a very large premium SUV, the Mazda CX-60, to this Mercedes, and it feels like going from a mini to a Ferrari in my eyes. From the ride comfort to the smooth engine and the overall luxury feeling, I'm extremely satisfied with my decision to go with Mercedes after their break in 2019. We knew that our next car was going to be a Mercedes, and we are certain that we made the right decision.

That model happens to be the one that I am currently leasing as a courtesy car though Enterprise. I'm glad you've made the right choice for you 👍 You got the Premium Plus at the right time. The Shooting Brake was the only model on Motability that had Premium Plus as an option. Which includes the Panoramic Sunroof as you mentioned. It's amazing and it will be missed. Premium Plus is no longer available since the 1st of July update to Motability.

Renault and VW iD 3 and 4 got the gear selector on the steering wheel or dashboard so there are other manufacturers on motability that offers cars like this, reason why Mercedes no longer on motability is the cost to run and insure is very high on those

I’m getting electric car through motability and nothing wrong with EV what’s your reason for saying it’s not practical? They can easily do 200 plus miles and cheaper to run, home charge overnight and it’s ready also there’s SUV or hatchback or sports whichever, it’s the future have to accept it

@matthewwhittleton4519 The main reason I personally found it impractical is that they would not install a charging point at my home as I do not have my own space. It’s been a while since I made the video but I listed a few other reasons why they may not be the best option for everyone

I think most of the Evs have the option of tapping a screen to switch gears but I’m not sure what the EV option are on motability. Also out of curiosity did Mercedes start doing them again?

I made a video about a year ago comparing all the gear stick variants on Motability, there was only one right handed option at that time and I have only seen very few, minor changes to the options available since then. As it stands Mercedes are not back on the scheme, apart from the massively over priced WAV's.

Glad to help. Insurance is by Direct Line. They are a separate company working with Motability. Your insurance and road tax are covered by the monthly outgoing payment you pay while on the scheme. On a typical 3 year lease you will not have to worry about an MOT as new cars do not require one within that time period. Services are done once a year by the manufacturer. I believe I speak briefly about this in my "Why You Should Use The Motability Scheme" video. I hope this helps 👍

Thanks for spelling it out regards masculinity, in ex army & was injured when I was overseas plus my mental issues alone have kept me locked in my house for over 8 years. I’m gonna claim my car & I’ve checked & I’m eligible and will be using it to go on some long trips. NOTE I’ve been told for 2024 you get £750 grant to put to an advance payment or motability will send you the cash if you don’t use it.

My honest answer is that I do not know. Each manufacturer may have their own reasons as to why they do or do not choose the scheme. I presume that they would come to the scheme if it was beneficial for them. Maybe they do not see enough demand from potential customers, maybe they do not believe they could be competitive in the current market, but these are just guesses. I cannot say for sure.

The only reliable information comes directly from the salesmen in the showrooms. There is no real way to effectively assess all of your options ahead of time. Cars come on and off of the scheme every quarter, in my experience the best thing to do is look at your best option available at the time and commit to that one. I hope this helps 👍

@@Max.Robinsonhi, it’s was the Motaclarity website. If you Google are Mercedes returning to mobility in 2024, it should come up. They have stated Mercedes will return in 2024 and also in the comments for new vehicles that they know they are returning. Sorry, not sure how to post links. My car just went in for its first MOT and the lady I deal with there also said they were returning later this year.

If your car own is registered as tax exempt for disability with DVLA you get free road tax, free ULEZ (at the moment) and congestion charge exempt

For me the scheme is a lifeline, due to really I’ll health for years got into debt my good credit rating got trashed, I cannot afford trains but can use my mobility scooter on them, get free bus travel but cannot take my mobility scooter on the bus so it’s pointless. You can only extend the lease if it has less than 10,000miles over 3 years. I believe after March 2024 you get an additional £750 towards your upfront payment. Best option for me stress free motoring

I received my girst motability car on friday tomorrow. Iam still very cautious by this as i have never been in dept and my mortgage is payed . The one thing i worry about is that if i die in the meantime my wife doesnt get stuck in dept or left eith a car she cant afford to keep paying . I do have fears until i get in to agroove with this . But at the minute iam a littel excited abouthaveing a car eith a wheel chair hoist.

Thank you for making this video , FYI, I believe the speedometer is placed that way by design, its known as "Calculated Misery", usually implemented by airlines to make people pay more to avoid misery! in this case it was used to make people pay extra for the HUD option
