Extremely disappointed that you decided to press BHS to take down First Take's version of your song, instead of just asking to be properly credited and have their version demonitized. Surely that would have made more sense for exposure and finances than having a bunch of people come here via pure disappointment and disdain from your brash actions. Plus, barbershop arrangers ALWAYS change lyrics for comedic affect. They aren't going to be singing about showtunes while they sing barbershop. Truly disappointing that you didn't attempt to work this out behind the scenes first.

I can understand your disappointment, but as a breach of copyright they have to take it down until we can resolve the situation. It is currently listed as a private video and as we continue to discuss everything, hopefully an amicable solution can be found. Nowhere in the contract that THEY wrote, did it mention that lyrics would be rewritten and should they wish to then I needed to be consulted. I am just protecting the integrity of my own work and will continue the discussions I’m having behind closed doors.

@@justadam3186 @lukemccrory Sadly, when they asked for my permission to arrange a barbershop version of the song, they only had my support from the musical arrangement. This means they can alter the presentation of the music without changing melody or lyric. Anything other than that required my permission. Instead, they rewrote every lyric which they weren’t legally allowed to do. They were also required to credit me as the writer of the song, which they didn’t do. O am a huge supporter of everybody sharing their talents and being awesome, but I had to have it taken down as it wasn’t the song I wrote and they were in breach of the binding agreement that we had all signed together. Believe me, I’m very disappointed by this as I was very excited to hear my song performed by these incredible gentlemen. At the end of the day, this is a business and contracts have to exist to protect to the author and their work. If contracts aren’t honoured, there has to be a consequence for that. I’m sorry to all the members of First Take and their fans, but I did what I had to do so my work is presented the way it was written and intended. Stuart

I got the cd back in 2016 when you did the crowdfunding. And I still love the music. I wish I could see the show live. Especially with Hadley Fraser in it. Well one can always wish. But I came here to just say how great the music is.

I love how you actually did it in the order you guys used to do the live previews for talk shows back in the day. This is a nice little trip back in time for me. I first saw you guys on KZbin maybe 7 years ago because I'm from the US so I wasn't able to see you guys do the show live, but to this day I haven't seen a better Riff Raff. It disappoints me they didn't get you for the remake movie they did, it got worse reviews than it deserved and you might have saved it.

You are probably the single greatest depiction of Riff Raff as a character and as a voice since Richard O'Brien created the role, and we desperately need a full soundtrack cover from you two before it becomes somehow "offensive" to do this show anymore (you know it's coming, and it makes ME sad, too)

I saw Stuart Matthew Price as Riff Raff some years ago in Munich and that performance was so mind-hunting that I kept listening to more of his work. Will keep showing this video to friends. I don’t get the „dreamed in Dance“ reference though. If someone would like to spare three minutes of his time to explain that, I’d be grateful. 🙏

"trained in dance"- his CV says he's trained in dance rather than musical theatre so he gets put in ensembles rather than getting lead singing roles.
