HERREN Bibeln Rock'n roll. Låten "Adam raised a Cain" live från 1978. Den är såååå tung, på alla plan. För det första: Adam (och Eva) och Cain och Abel har aldrig existerat. Dom är andliga bilder av människans relation och andliga utveckling med HERREN. Man kan säga människans andliga revolt mot Gud. Detsamma gäller Noah med flera i gamla testamentet. Om man läser Swedenborg så förstår man det: Det är inte frågan om människor utan dom är andliga sinnebilder över alla människor. Den här låten har som jag ser det två bottnar: Dels beskriver den på ett personligt plan Springsteens egen uppväxt med sin pappa. Vi är samma kött och blod men har ändå svårt att komma överens. Varför? Sen handlar den också om det som jag började att skriva om: Människans relation till HERREN. I låten beskriver Bruce det som står i Bibeln, nämligen att den första människan Adam hade 2 söner, Cain och Abel. Men Cain mördade Abel. Därför att han var avundsjuk på honom. Abel var rättfärdig och god, men Cain kunde inte tåla sin egen bror.

Best concert I ever went to. Man, 44 years. Went with three HS friends that I still talk to. Gregs car "the beast" with no heat. Oh, great times with Bruce. Remember think the show was over after the Detroit medley. We were in the hallway and Bruce comes back out for Twist and shout. Four plus hours of joy.

My friend attended this show and asked me to record it off the radio, which I did. I had heard little Springsteen before. This show blew me away and is still one of my favorite live recordings of ANYONE.
