Please don't handle them like that for a video. Some people watch videos with no audio and get the wrong idea. Teach people about the species while teaching them how to observe in a way that is healthful for the newt. Thank you for educating

I have been running into more and more here in my neck of the woods. It makes me so incredibly happy to see them coming back here. It used to be a very rare sight to see a rattlesnake here. Such an awesome and beautiful predator. I'm looking for opportunities to help any way I can here in this part of Pennsylvania with any data collection or tracking. The northern part of the state is loaded with Timber Rattlers.

I was camping at Stellafane a week ago. Found my first Red-backed salamander... That just so happened to be missing its tail!

Nicely done. Ideally send us a reminder about this cool video next May as we come into season again. Now - late July - looking forward to seeing a wood turtle or 2 in my woods. Those I just watch from a distance and only move them if they are on a road.

I've seen two different frogs this summer in South burlington. Both were green at the time. One I saw in early August. It was quite larger than the 2nd one. The larger one was in a tree and the smaller one was in a 5 gallon bucket of rain water tonight 9/11/21 at about 945 pm.

Nice video. I saw a little orange juvenile eastern newt last week and was doing some research to learn more about them. Thanks for the info.
