I bought this game cuz I was a total Weeb back then and honestly it’s not as bad as people say. I enjoyed it 🤷🏻‍♀️ only thing is that I’m pretty sure I never got to finish the game sadly but the hate I had for the little girl was so real 💀

Even if Nights is androgynous, I absolutely love the VA. Aside from some lines, she really brings out the sass. That "Du-a-lize!" was A+ IMO.

I’m really not opposed to Klonoa having English voice acting if it’s an option that people can toggle at their whim. Don’t even mind Eric’s performance here it’s genuinely great when he actually gets any lines to read. I mean I doubt Klonoa will ever really return, even in a post Reverie timeline I don’t think Namco is gonna give this series a new title, so wether it has English or not is a moot point I suppose.

Even without romance mechanic, Yukari and Chie would never be into Junpei and Yosuke. Fuuka's "They (Yosuke, Chie) remind me of Junpei,Yukari" in pq. There is absolutely not "pairing" anything. Everyone Yukiko, Rise, Naoto just being platonic friend near Yosuke at some points like Yukiko when Yosuke wanted homework and complimented at waterfall and has some misunderstanding anime gags. Rise play with him at the beach (and Yu taught Yukiko, Kanji competed with Kanji), react at his fanboy and doesn't want him to look at other idols. Yosuke complimented Naoto "awesome" making her surprised. Rise also interact with Kanji comedic. Or Rise interact with Teddie comedic at points. In New Year, Naoto also interact with Teddie. After defeat Izanami, Naoto also interact Yosuke. It is just "They are interacting, breath the same air and being platonic friends". Chie state fact she'd never be into Yosuke and is uncomfortable with the idea genuinely, in October. It's just uncomfortable. Chie also states fact it's true platonic friendships between guys and girls without romance in December dungeon dialogue. So it is just missing the point. Yukari state same to Junpei. Yukari, Chie'd rather eat glass, Let's be real lol).

The worst thing about this remake is changing Joka's name to Joker.

I think NiGHTS is a game of patience. You have to be patient with the commands and think carefully with each mission. That’s what I’m slowly figuring out. The game is really fun

It's just...not the same. I could probably get past Klonoa sounding like Sonic (MAYBE), but I really like hearing him speak his language. It helps with the emersion and sell the dream world aspect. Although, one voice change I can get behind is Hupow's. The original is way too squeaky for my tastes.

I miss NiGHTS games. Both of them were amazing!! I had hope for a third one but it became some slot machine (or so I am told)
