Bonjour.

Nice history. Please next time allow Papa to speak Ewe. He woulda expressed himself better and given us a detailed story. You can put subtitles for those who don’t understand.

You needed 4 cedis to get 1 dollar then, and it was a huge show of incompetence. But now you need 14 cedis to get 1 dollar. Why should anyone force the argument that we are better off today? Excessive partisanship breeds madness. Prof Gyampo UG

Yes, but who will volunteer to set up a radio & television station in Accra running exclusively Ewe programs 24/7.. the absence of same is a serious indictment on our so-called drive to uphold and promote our identity, language, and values.. What we see today is some tokenism programs here and there on one or two media houses for an insultingly 1 hour or two for a whole week! when we have hundreds of thousands of permanent Ewe residents in Accra!..not to talk about other urban centers like Ashaiman, Tema, Kumasi etc.. We wake up every day listening to other language stations particularly Twi and for our socalled middle class educated residents we find consolation in the main English speakers stations like Joy fm, Citi fm, Class Fm etc.. What at all is wrong with us?. Let us beware that it is no longer government responsibility to promote our languages anymore since the the Airwaves got liberalized as far back às 1996.!! It's now OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO SO.. GBC IS TECHNICALLY DEAD ON THOSE RESPONSIBILITIES.. LETS THEREFORE WAKE AND FIGHT OUR BATTLE ELSE WE PERISH AS PEOPLE.. THOSE WHO ARE FOND OF GIVING EXCUSES THAT IT CANNOT BE POSSIBLE, I BRING YOU GOOD TIDINGS, SINCE MOST OF YOU ARE LIKELY TO A BELIEVER OF JESUS: the BIBLE THEN SAYS; WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.!! IT IS DOABLE AND SO LEST THEREFORE BOLDLY SET UP A RADIO/ TV STATIONS IN ACCRA( if even a community based one) AT LEAST TO PROUDLY PROJECT, PROMOTE, AND MARKET OUR IDENTITY, LANGUAGE AND VALUES..EWEAWO, MISTSOM FIFILAA!!
