Read what you just wrote again. You understand the issue? That proves the point. Now Idc either way, although I've seen it in past seasons where he got bailed out by the refs (jets game). But you must understand that throwing the flag AFTER the defender caught it only helps the case that the refs are making sure he looks good. 🤷

Then it wouldn’t be a statistic if those wouldn’t count anyways. This means interceptions that stand. Not those free deep shots when the offense has the “advantage” (like in soccer) . So this is saying on legitimate interceptions refs have bailed him out
