Moin! Gibt es hierzu auch ein Transkript? Auch bspw. mit Nebeninformationen, was man bei verwenden von LVM beachten muss.

Is the controller anything like the arduino boblight method?

Yes it is ( Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 Serial (UART) IC ). It`s working over 10 Years and various Distributions using the same driver building script ;)

@@itossopensourcesolutions9676 Very nice! I'm exploring options for a setup like this for my HTPC running kodi. There's a native boblight, but there's also hyperhdr.

@@ilikenwf Right Hyperion is newer as boblight ( github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion ) If you start from scratch use hyperion, cause you can control it via APP/Browser when Kodi/Hyperion/Biblight is not running. I used this controller : www.sedu-board.de/sedu-lights/ I dont know if hyperion only works on full featured SOC like RPI. If you want a very fast starting Ambilight, you should user Sedu Board / Arduino etc.

@@itossopensourcesolutions9676 Thanks for the tips! HyperHDR is a hyperion fork that supports HDR, if memory serves. Uses "grabbers" - most people use a pi and USB capture device, I hope that there's also just a frame grabber since in my case it's just Kodi on top of GBM. If not, I could go their route and not spend $200 on a premade box liek the one from fanceleds.

@@ilikenwf HDR dosent matter when using the Sedu controler. Hyperion and forks are designed to grab an external video signal. So you need a video grabber, HDMI switch ( 4K / HDR ready ) a lot of cables, cases etc. BUT ! If you use Kodi, you only need the sedu controller, a usb cable, LED Stripes and power suply for the stripes.
