Aww I miss Garry Walberg - he was such a treat to watch and listen to, especially as Frank Monahan in Quincy.

this is ironically a really great song for a christmas horror movie, its someone trapped at home alone begging for their family to come back while monsters try to literally kill them. I can see a new Gremlins movie trailer remixing this song to be menacing

One of my favorite scenes in this underrated gem! It's actually a great 1980s style musical dance sequence featuring a 1960s classic Lou Christie song - and you have Marc McClure (Superman's pal Jimmy Olsen") dancing in it! I just love watching this scene over & over. And how many costumed characters from vintage TV shows (even then) can you spot? Hoss from "Bonanza", Sister Bertrille from "The Flying Nun", Jeannie from "I Dream Of Jeannie" to name a few... check this cool movie out if you haven't seen it. It's totally awesome!!!

I was the extra in this party scene 2:03 wearing the hat. The production was relocated to Auckland NZ from Australia due to a labour strike at the time and was a big deal to the local film industry. My parents meet Michael Murphy and Dey Young at our local ice cream shop, took them to Takapuna Beach and invited them home for dinner where I meet the "Stars". They later arranged for the production team to include me in the filming of this scene which took most of a day and into the early hours of the morning. (I had school the next day and was buzzing) Had so much fun that day - unfortunately my name is not in the credits - but I did get paid !! Who would guess 40+ years later it becomes a cult classic and compared with the Scream franchise. The 80's were the best years ever. Ironically I relocated my life to Australia.

Everytime I watch this or Gremlins, makes me think of Roger Corman's masterpiece, Death Race 2000. Because Rockin Ricky Rialto (played by the Real Don Steel) is Junior Bruce a commentator on the Transcontinental Road Race and is just awesome in it. If you know the types of movies Roger Corman does, youll understand Death Race 2000

I first became aware of Don Steele when I saw “Grand Theft Auto” on tv in the late 70s (Ron Howard’s directorial debut). Don plays the part of Curly Q. Brown… a disc jockey, naturally. My brother and I thought he was hilarious. Then Don showed up as Ricky Rialto in perhaps my favorite movie from when I was 13. And his part, while small, was once again hilarious! “Hey?!?!?… you’re not little Ricky Rialto fans!!! Aaaarrrggghhh…!!!” 😂😂😂
