Revisiting this collaboration for the nth time. Cannot get enough! I am always blown away by these two consummate professionals. Sharon so strong and that voice is AMAZING! And I so miss Tarja's vocals, that symphonic voice over the metal along with her expressions! There is much to be said for the "old days" of Nightwish, and this collab is Simply an OUTSTANDING example of the power of the genre!!!

I would contend that Tarja is a superb singer, and if this was the only song I'd ever heard of hers, I'd still come to the same conclusion. This is an enormously difficult song and mastery of it is beyond most. For Floor fans, I'd argue much the same. Floor's version is actually harder, as she flips between a wide range of vocal styles. But this song is THE benchmark, and Tarja's version (most notably THIS performance) is the gold standard against which any other must be compared.

Firstly thanks for putting this video up. Some thoughts and questions in no order of importance: 1) Tarja is an absolute stunner of a woman both then and now. 2) Even though I'm late to the party Tarja is NW to me. Floor is good and she seems a great person too however her voice just doesn't reach into me like Tarja's does from her final concert. 3) I know nothing about Annette except she unfairly got it in the neck from Tarja fans and that she also appears to have been badly treated by the band. 4) Unless she's an arch deceiver she struck me as someone very mature and refusing to be bitter or playing the victim but rather moving forwards. 5) Did she answer the allegations; "In December 2004, in Germany, you said that you will never tour again for more than two weeks at a time. You also said that we can forget about U.S. and Australia because the fees and the sizes of venues are too small."? 6) Lastly was there any element of this being about Tuomas having a crush on her and hurt that some other man took and married her? And further her choosing him as not just her husband but as manager?
