From now on I won't be able to ignore when Viktor says "Emotion clashes with reason" [how do you manage to play the game if you spend so much time rehearing these voicelines when creating those filters? I wouldn't be able to focus tbh]

im following you until you say you added the reastream filter. it would have been nice to se how you did that as well, cause its not just an option on my obs
@haganeku
@haganeku 6 ай бұрын
On OBS, press the + sign under Sources, and add an Audio Input Capture. Select the default input, and then after closing the window, when you right click the Audio Input Capture there should be a menu and the Filters option should be right above Properties. Inside Filters, press the + sign inside of Audio Filters and select VST 2 Plugins, and search for reastream-standalone.

Just wanted to tell you that you're my hero and that this solved a problem I've been having while recording my desktop with one of those cheap little HDMI recorder boxes. Using OBS and Reastream essentially allowed me to clone the ASIO signal into the HDMI audio signal to be captured with the video, saving me the trouble of having to record each separately and assemble it all later.

Have a question about signal flow sir. In case of nuendo, all those tracks like Bubbles Monsters and Choral will be FX track? So you send a signal from Stem track to those other three tracks like in parallel?.
@austinmullensound
@austinmullensound 8 ай бұрын
Not familiar with Nuendo routing. Here's the routing for this reaper session though: Stem track has output sent to Tracks 7, 9 and 10. 9 and 10 output to 8. 7 and 8 output to 6. 6 sends to 5 and outputs to 4. 5 outputs to 4 and receives a sidechain from 6 (or it can receive side chain from 2). I usually go into those details but didn't this time. If you check other processing videos from my channel they often discuss the routing theory which remains largely consistent in all my VO processing.
@Damonkang
@Damonkang 9 ай бұрын
are all the other tracks except 'stem' track work as a FX track? so when you play the whole part non-processed stem track and other FX tracks played simultaneously?
@AmysWhisper
@AmysWhisper 9 ай бұрын
IF you are having trouble routing from the MIDI tracks out to Aux tracks for reverb and such, make sure that those aux tracks are somewhere BELOW your MIDI tracks so that the order of sending signal works correctly

Hey Austin, great tip! I wonder what is the difference between your current setup and Wwise built-in Spread RTPC in attenuation settings? I believe it essentially does the same, downmixing multichannel to mono based on distance from listener to emitter
@austinmullensound
@austinmullensound 10 ай бұрын
I will have to do testing again when I have time to give the exact answer. But from memory when I used spread, wwise seemed to be adding some funky width processing of it's own and I wasn't getting the true stereo of the files themselves. That said, it could totally be something about the wwise project I was working in as it's a bit...messy.

Never works. Followed your instructions but doesn't work. Pretty much giving up. Every video i watch it's the same thing. I don't get it. If I play the virtual keyboard all the instruments will play and you see the levels on the Daw, but if I try to play existing midi files on those tracks there is no audio.

Not too many words, just 🔥 Although I am curious, is reaper just your preferred DAW or is there a reason you use this over something else i.e nuendo
@austinmullensound
@austinmullensound Жыл бұрын
Reaper has (in my experience) the most comprehensive and easy to use automated systems. I'm frequently dealing with multiple languages and thousands of files per character so I need as much automation as I can get. For example, once I have my recipe built like it is in the video, two clicks automatically applies the processing to every file and sorts each language into their respective folders inside of the game directories. I don't believe Reaper does *everything* better, but it is best in slot for pretty much every task I need it for.
